I painted 6 of TSSD's newer figures as Confederates. They are not really "right" for Moseby's, Forrest's or Stuart's. I wouldn't try to pass them off as "Authentic" but more "Hollywood." The problem with the original TSSD poses is that they have no carbine slings and no swords for portraying Union or Confederate. One figure has no spurs. The running figure has a haversack, something left on the saddle. BUT I really like how they came out. I'd scratch build some carbine slings next time.
I really wish TSSD would make these really good figures better with consistent details.

Hi Scott
I enjoy your sense of humor.
Reading that Toy Soldiers cause a problem
because they do not have rifle slings and swords
is really funny.
Thanks for making me smile.
Now, I will bring my coffee and a bag of Toy Soldiers
to the back yard.

Well they don't cause a real problems like hate, disease, and ignorance but it would be nice to have a figure that represents a cavalryman have cavalry equipment. These figures have belts, cap pouches, and pistol cartridge boxes but no sword slings or shoulder belt or carbine cartridge box, yet the figures are firing carbines.

TSSD's mounted cavalry are great on the that score of having most issue gear. I've taken TSSD mounted cavalry and grafted them onto standing legs.

A few more Confederates added to the troop. The Hobby Bunker sometimes has separate figures in bins so I grabbed a few running figures. I added a bare head to one I got from a set of party favor soccer players.
