Don't you think you should be telling K & C if these are pirated goods? Makes you complicit in the theft.

Tony,

Understood. Just wanted to make sure that Andy and Gordon were aware of it. I guess this is the same place they have talked about in the past.

Hong Kong is best known for its food. You need a guide to get to the good stuff. I can't stress that enough. Don't do it on your own. Even with the good restaurants...if you are not a local...they will have a seperate menu for you.

Victoria's Peak is nice on a clear evening.

Model trains are not popular in Hong Kong (no space) and with the closing of the hobby department in Sogo more than 5 years ago, there is not a good source of model trains. There was a small store in Sham Shui Po district called Concorde Hobbies which carried Japanese N gauge trains, but I was last there more than 10 years ago and do not know if it is still open.:(

For K&C, the only authorized store is the K&C store in Pacific Place. Robert Cheung of Patriot has a small shop on Nathan Road in Kowloon (www.patriotmodels.com) with some of his Patriot figures, but this store mainly sells the small airline metal planes like Herpa. Frontline and East of India are headquartered in Hong Kong and you can always arrange to visit them and purchase their products directly from them. I have not found any retail store that sells any other brand of toy soldiers in Hong Kong like Britains, Figarti or Honour Bound.:)

Back from a weeks stay in H.K. I thought that the Big Apple was so amazing
but H.K. really impressed me even more! Sorry New Yorkers, don't feel offended! Wherever we went people were very kind and heplful.Service at the
airport, the subway, the malls and the hotels was excellent. We enjoyed the
exhilarating scenery on The Peak and also went to see The Buddha.
And ofcourse I found my way to Pacific Place and the K&C store. Small but very well stocked. Bought DD068 Ambulance Jeep and DD061 Beach under fire. The lady who helped me (shame on me for forgetting her name)was very
kind and patient. So will I return to H.K.? OH YES!!!!!

Guys in HK now

Today we walked and walked but we did not find ANY K&C in stores (outside of PP) and not any market stalls with streeets of K&C!! dont know where we went wrong if we did!! tried Wan chi, sham sui po and Mon Kok found not one sign of the stuff so there must be an as and when.

however if one of the guys fromHK can tell me and my bro where it is we will find out more!!

Tony - I thought you were back in the UK this week. Hope you picked up the email I sent you yesterday - cos I need those CRW figures to be in Beijing by the end of this month.
For train stuff, there's a VERY small shop on the Ground Floor in Star Computer City on the Kowloon side right next to the ferry terminal.
For knock-off stuff, try to prise the name out of brother Gordon of the TF member who was buying the stuff a few weeks ago - cos I'd like to know where that street stall is as well.

Cheers
H
