Ana...

I know the situation about the reason for stopping your AFV's but, is it not possible that you could return to these in a small limited edition?

Pardon me if its been asked but, IMO a massive whole still remains in the hobby for HB vehicles.

PS. Hope all is well with you as its been a while since we spoke

Ana...

Nice to hear from you. Well, a positive is that you did say 'for the moment' fingers crossed.
Best Wishes

jbonzo1...

I totally agree. I think HB were the finest AFV's this hobby has seen or ever will. Thats why I said what I did. I know there was only a small range done but, AFV for AFV HB are still No1.

I know shipping was a concern especially for UK etc but, they were still very well priced also.

I bet we are not the only ones who are thinking at least there is hope it was not a definite 'no'

Fingers crossed, mate!

Now that the latest Figarti and K&C releases are around the $200 range, I think HB can wait a bit longer and jump back in.

Let's say in a year or so, Ana announces a limited edition Jagdtiger or Sturmtiger... at $250US. Do you think she could sell 100 of each? I would buy both in a heartbeat.

Jagdtiger would be something I would go and pick up in Buenes aries myself without doubt.

At $250 that would be right in the Figarti price range - it would sell well. But that's not much more than what the HB tanks were selling for 3 - 4 years ago. I suspect her price would be well over $300 today.

I don't believe that selling product was the problem to begin with. It was the price of doing business out of Argentina, ie., labor, production, shipping, and dealing with Argentine laws. Unless these problems can be solved, don't look for big vehicle production out of HB. It was just too costly to do business. I think Ana explained all this on several occassions when vehicle production halted, if my memory is right. -- Al

Well, FL AFV's are $300... HB Shermans approach $300 on ebay when they show up. If it was the right tank, I think it would sell.

Your memory is correct.
Why not design/sculpt the model in Argentina and produce it in China?

Well, I am still more happy than when I asked as it was not a 'no' production outside Argentina may well be a way to overcome some of the difficulties.

Terry, I believe the HB gold edition Tigers were $350-375 shipped...3-4 years ago....Too expensive for me....so I passed on them.....What would they cost now??

That is something the Donzinos never wanted to do as they are very proud Argentinians.

So you're saying there's a chance!;)
My HB Panther still sets a standard that others can't match.

I hope so.....I dooo hope..

I was thinking of getting out of the hobby and was ready to sell ALL my HB. Then Figarti came out with the Reichsbahn line so I took another look at my HB Panthers to see if they would be a good match with the railcars..

I looked...and the first thing that came to mind was....selling these would be like throwing Excaliber back in the lake.... I just couldn't do it...

The legend lives on....;)

IXEC...

Agree totally. I would have to say that the last thing that would leave my house would be the HB all the rest could go without great loss or miss but, not them. I now have AFV's from all manufacturers who produce and still maintain HB to be the absolute best the market has seen

The new K&C Panther is nice, but when the opportunity arose to get one from Honour Bound, I did not hesitate. Like their Tigers, they are the standard. :)

Welcome aboard!!

Well, this sort of question is like going to a Rolls dealership and asking "Are the cars here of good quality?" :)

Suffice to say, you are getting a squared away tank.

Currahee Chris...

That a better response than I gave. Spot on

I agree, my HB winter Panther is one of most prized vehicles-others can come and go at times, but not my HB Panther. I could kick myself for missing out on the HB Winter Jagdpanther...oy !!!
