Hello,

Now that you know that we won't be making more tanks, let's focus on the figures. We've been making miniature figures since 1982, and we are very proud of every piece we made. All our attention will now go to figure making from now on.

We will begin by releasing new sets in limited editions of 35, and they will be sold for the current price. This number may be increased in the future if demand is very high but in general we plan to keep the numbers quite low because we want these pieces to be quite exclusive.

You have expressed a lot of enthusiasm for our new painting style and we appreciate all the feedback and support you have given us. As usual, we will thank all your suggestions for new sets as we do with our Beau Geste line.

Please, let me know if you have any questions. I'm here to answer :)

Thanks,

Ana

wow 35 is a low number :eek

am really looking forward to the limited editions figure sets..

hopefully the winter version of both the Medic team and the radio team will be revealed soon, if not the current version sets will run out..

Nasir,

Daniel has not begun working on the sculptures of the winter versions yet. The American medic and the flamethrower teams will come first. I believe that the winter versions might be ready in a month or two.

I'll let you know,

Ana

I just put in my order for HB33 Radio Team and HB34 Medic Team.

You know guys I see an opportunity here. There have been countless posts on the forum regarding a lack of Soviets, Commonwealth, Italian figures etc. etc. Perhaps if we can convince Ana that there are enough of us interested in these under represented areas we will see some of them appear in future HB figures.

Thanks Ana.

whilst i await the winter version, and especially the flamethrower set, i will gather the other winter sets first.

Frank,

i'm with you on this Eastern front quest.

and HB can start with a limited 35 sets first production.

Agreed Frank! However, I am waiting/holding out for the winter versions of HB33 & HB34 which will hopefully be produced! I am impressed with the evolution of the HB figures. I look forward to their USAAC (Flying Tigers & Chinese), USAAF, RAF (Eagle Squadron), RCAF, RAAF, RNZAF, Japanese & Luftwaffe figure sets...please.

Only 35 sets to be issued. I,ve preordered mine so hopefully I will get it. But with such limited amount of sets I have a problem.
If there has to be a scramble every time a new set is released to obtain it, I just may say forget it!
I,ve really come to appreciate HB,s figures and fully intend to buy all that they release, so therefore if I,m unable to buy a set because of limited availability I feel my collection would be incomplete.
Maybe I,m all wrong about just 35 sets as I,m not privy to the production end of this, and maybe from past sales 35 will satisfy the collectors needs.
Fortunatly for HB, for me, their figures are now top of the line and I would hate to miss out because of, in my opinion, unrealistic production numbers.
Ana if you read this maybe you can reassure me that all will be well!
Gary

Gary,

we will be adapting the quantity needs with the releasing of each new set. If 35 gets too short we may go for 40, or 45. But always on the next set since the accorded limited series can't be changed.

The series will remain exclusive, with a very low number produced, but they are not meant to panic collectors :)

Thanks,

Ana

maybe Ana, you can provide us with a newsletter or something that we may be alerted once there is a limited release?

Ana, thanks for the quick response.
Just for your info, I just emailed my HB dealer, George at MM, and told him to make sure I get all your future WW2 figures.
So that leaves 34 for the rest of the world!

Nasir,

Your dealers will be able to inform you every time we release a new limited series. And I will post at the forum every time we release a new limited set.

What I can't post is a list of future sets since we don't want other companies to release sets of the same subjects that we are planning before us. I hope you can understand that.

Thanks,

Ana

noted and understood Ana.

Just a little anxious with the low production count of 35.

judging from the medic team and signal team, the flamethrower set should be smoking hot.

Hi Nasir,
If you haven't signed up for Treefrog's weekly e-newsletter The Rivet you might want to. I give updates each week on news from all the manufacturers we represent, including Honour Bound.
You can also choose to receive first-look notifications for limited edition information from specific companies which is I think more what you are looking for.

If you are not already signed up for the Rivet or specific LE notifications you can do so from any page of the Treefrog Treasures online store. At the moment the signup box is located in the bottom left-hand corner of each page.

If you are already a Rivet subscriber and want to sign up for specific LE notifications you can revise your preferences by clicking the 'Update Profile/Email Address' link at the bottom of any issue of the Rivet.
Regards,

hi Shannon,

thanks for the tip, i would do that.

but that means that i will have to regularly check my email though.

35 (34 now due to Gary ;) ) for all future releases, and even the Treefrog forum has 1000 members!

There's only a couple of hundred who are still active though. Nevertheless I think 35 is way too low - why even bother going to the effort of researching and designing a set when the most revenue you can make back is $3000? I think it would be good if HB expanded their Gold Edition customizing idea to the figures as well and gave their 35 main customers the chance to choose nationalities, weapons and uniforms for upcoming sets.

A low figure like 35 will mean that each dealer will only have a few for sale at most. With the demand these sets will create, perhaps a lottery to determine who gets what might be in order. I personally would prefer to see an edition of at least 100 and perhaps another 35 customized at a higher price for those sets.

HB figures have evolved to a very high level of quality, workmanship and original themes and it would be a pity to only have a few sets for each of these fine creations.

Ana if economically possible, I hope you will reconsider that edition number. I very much want to buy the forthcoming winter German medic set and will be disappointed if they fly out the door as soon as they are released. There are a lot of us winter collectors out here.

Randy

Well I have always liked HB figures, but only producing 35 sets to me starts to take the fun of collecting them. 35, 40 or even 50 sets seems very low to me, and how will damaged sets be handled ? Plus as mentioned in a previous post you will have to jump on a new release as soon it is announced. Giving you no time to wait and see what other collectors think of the figures if your undecided about buying them. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we may be reading a new thread Shorty "Honor Bound has ceased making figures". I think I may have to pass on future sets with this new marketing strategy. Which does free up a set for someone else :)

Cool, that's one less collector I have worry about for HB in the future.

Now, if I could have only acted sooner I would have landed both HB 33 and HB34 (Medic and Radio teams).

You guess it, it looks like they're all sold out on these sets.

Carlos

The sets are still available for preorder from some other dealers. I guess they split them up to the major dealers. I am glad I bought them now, I hate trying to track down stuff after it is sold out.
