Honour Bound figures news (1 Viewer)

Guys,

There's a reason why we decided to make 35 of each set in a limited edition. First of all, we are a small company, with a very small production capability, so the idea of thousands of figures goes far beyond what we can do.

The second reason is simple: we decided the number based on our average sales. We have been making runs of 50, and we have always had some stock left, so 35 sounded reasonable. We never wanted to leave any collector without his or her set, but, as we want to optimize our sales, we need to get sure that we will sell the whole production before we get to the following new releases. But I can tell you that the limited quantity to be made on actual sales and not on the thought of having collectors frustrated. Nothing is more far from our intentions than that.

This is the first limited series. We plan to modify the quantity based on the sales of the previous set. So if you couldn't get a set from one series, you'll be able to get one from the next. Although both new sets have been sold out for us, you still can get them from dealers. So please, don't panic until you actually can't get your set.

I know that this leaves out the possibility of easily buying the set in the future. I'm sorry to get you to decide your buying priorities. But right now, we need to go limited to get Honour Bound figures going. We are proud of our figures, and we've been taking close care of our quality, listening to collectors and dealers feedback. You know that. We've changed our painting style, we made the subjects that you suggested. We will keep on listening. You know you can always email us with questions or comments, and that we always answer. So please, trust in what we decide.

Thanks,

Ana

Thank you Ana:

We often forget, but people running a business, trying to make a profit usually make decisions based on past experiences.

If they believed they could sell more pieces they would make them. No one wants their profits to be sitting gathering dust on a storeroom shelf.

I just don't understand how it is worth the work (sculpting, mold-making, casting and painting) to sell just 35 sets?
Now, if Honour Bound is getting feedback from their sellers, that an x amount of collectors beside the lucky 35 have tried to get the two sets, how can that justify a higher release of the next figure set in the planing?
If there are collectors who now wanted the Medic or the Radio Operator sets, that does not mean they will want whatever is going to be issued next .

The response from collectors regarding these two sets has been incredible, I am sold out of the medic set already and almost sold out of the radio teams.

I am happy for the Honour Bound team, they have done a superb job with these two sets as well as the previous sets in my opinion, glad to see the collectors are getting such nice additions to their collections.........

Regards,
George

I got the Medic set b/c of the German Shepherd and I must say I am impressed. One question, since these are limited, are you doing any kind of certificate? I am a collector freak I know, but this would be a nice touch. Now, if there is one and I can't find it in my box, then just call me an idiot all the same!:)

My sentiments exactly...........Michael

Tom,

The future series will have a label with the number in the box. We got to late for this 2 series though, because when we decided how to number them we had already shipped the first bunch of sets. I plan to mail dealers small certificates for them to mail to collectors who have bought from them when we release the next couple of sets.

Better late than never...

Nasir,

Daniel has not begun working on the sculptures of the winter versions yet. The American medic and the flamethrower teams will come first. I believe that the winter versions might be ready in a month or two.

I'll let you know,

Ana

Maybe by Chicago? I want one!

can i humbly suggest something?

maybe for the next line of limited figures, HB will give a period of time for preorder?

HB could show us the prototype, and then open a window for people to preorder, say 2 weeks.

Those wanting to preorder will then have to pay an amount not exceeding 25% deposit to their preferred vendors.

Collecting the info after 2 weeks, say 53 preorders for flamethrower set, HB can then add these 53 confirmed orders and cast around half more to say to an 80 sets.

in this way, the 53 will go to confirmed customers, while those missing out on the preorders can look out for the extra 27 or so more.

This suggestion is not fool proof, but its a good start i guess.
