Honour Bound has given us images of their three Panther sets, and they are great!

You can see them (and reserve them) on our New Items page http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/new.shtml

I'll post a bunch of images below.

All I can say is "wow!" The panthers look extraordinary. If they are this nice in person, I think Andy might have to rethink the way he makes his vehicles. Kudos to the folks at Honor Bound! I can't wait for a photo of the Bergepanther tank recovery vehicle!

Shame on you Hounour Bound. You should really be ashamed of yourselves. Tempting people who have stopped collecting WWII figures and vehicles for Napoleonic's.:D

Those vehicles and figures look great in the pictures. I am very, very tempted to begin collecting WWII again. But, sadly the money does not match the desire. But in the perfect world - don't we all day dream of the perfect world where all of our desires are met and our unlimited wants are filled - I would be getting at least one of each of the wonderful Panters.

Bravo Zulu for a great job. :) Michael

I have to repeat what Louis said ..."WOW" ...those Panthers look fantastic. When are they expected to start arriving at the dealers and are they limited edition runs or open stock?

Fred

General question, how many will start collecting these because they appear to be great pieces or snub them because they are not King and Country and may not have a payday, when retired.? ..just curious. Maddadicus

Dear Fred,
According to a previous post by Ana of Honour Bound (and Beau Geste), the Panther sets will be open stock and will be available until it is not cost effective to redo the molds -- which have to be remade every 75 pieces. Hopefully, this means collectors on a budget do not have to worry about missing out if they don't order right away.:)

As for me, I'm looking for great pieces, regardless of manufacturer. If it goes with K & C, I will buy it and this is a buy. I like the soldier at rest, leaning on the tank. That is quite neat. The resupply guys also look quite cool.

I'm with you, Brad, as long as the scale matches K&C and the quality is there, I'm in.

Thanks, Steven, that's good to know, hopefully we won't have to rush to get all three Panthers before they stop production, my budgets stretched tighter than Joan Rivers' face.:D Has anyone actually seen one these tanks yet?

Hi Fred,
The Panthers are expected to arrive in early March and they are considered open stock. Because Honour Bound is in more of the "cottage industry" category their production capacity is much smaller than larger companies such as Britains or King & Country so they will by nature be limited, but they are not limited in the sense of only planning a certain number to be produced. You request 'em, they make 'em.

To answer your question about anyone seeing them...Pete and I will be feasting our eyes on them in exactly one week when we head down to the Donzino's studio in Buenas Aires. I will be spending the week learning how to paint glossies and we will get to tour both the Beau Geste and Honour Bound halves of their studio. We will be sure to take lots of pictures and report back to the forum. =)

Hi Shannon,

Thats excellent! I wish I could get down there to see their set up. I am also glad that they are not going to be such limited runs I am really thinking of getting one or two of these later on this year.

Dave

These look really nice. Each set of pictures gets better and better. I shall definitely be getting into this collection. When I can afford it.

Thank you, Shannon, we'll all be looking forward to your pictures and a first hand report. Just a thought, if you and Peter need anyone to help with the luggage, I've never been to Buenas Aires.......

Fred

I've pre-ordered two of three.

Are all of you ordering all three tanks or just some of them. If so, which ones, just curious?

Carlos

Carlos; I'd like to see them up close before buying, but I think I'd go for all three if they compare favorably to K&C in quality and detail and it looks like they will. Goodbye retirement savings.
