How About Some New German FJ Troops ? (1 Viewer)

One of the promises I've made to myself as I got into collecting this scale of figures is that I'm not going to try to 'reach back' and buy earlier releases as they fetch a VERY good premium-and it hasn't been an easy promise to stick to it. I'd love to have one of those 88's, StuGs and a few other releases from earlier days.
That said, there's an 'FJ06' set on ebay now that I would LOVE to get my hands on-and it got me wondering why there don't seem to be any active or proposed German WWII Falschirmjager sets out there. FJ units were engaged from early war France to Crete, to Italy, to the Russian front to the Ardennes and they don't seem very well represented here. In 6th scale, FJ's were VERY popular figures to collect and custom build-is there not much interest at this scale level for them ?

I agree, we have enough SS units, how about FJ,s.
Seems as if every time I watch a WW2 documentary they are always pictured.
While I,m at it how about some German medical figures. OK no more wish list for another year.

I would like to see some to, I just watched a documentry
about a couple of British soldiers revisiting the Monastary at Monte casino for
the first time since the war ,so perhaps some german paras from the italian campaign

I would also love some FJ's from Cassino.However i may be wrong but i thought Andy told Mr Gambale earlier in the year that there were none planned in the near future.But you never know.

By the way nice pictures Pandagen. I'm a big fan of that first FJ range. FJ04 is one of K&C's best ever pieces in my opinion.

Actually the FJ's from a few years back were Cassino weren't they?
Normandy ones would be cool but I think the Crete campaign would be something different.

I have yet to see anyone in this scale do FJs in their olive jump smocks. It might actually fit well into the Fields of Battle range.

Happy New Year You'all! My Response was back Earlier, in this Year of 2006; that I brought up the subject also, about asking Andy to make German Paras, ither for Italy or Crete? So, I also would lok forward for German Paras also; but I understand that NMA is making Combatant Sets of the FALLSCHRIMJAEGER ! I have also, ask Blake to make these Sets; so Andy could go on to other Business! The German Paras, should have quite a bit of Weaponary, for Instance: ---- Mortar Team--Panzerschreck Team-----Prone MG Team-----Pak 40Team-------20MM Quad Flak Gun team-------Recoilless RifleTeam-----2-Man Motorcycle Team------Kettenkrad Team----Attacking Squad of 4or Six Men? Wespe and Marder?

Mike - the FJs and the Wittman Tiger were my first few peices but I had to wait a while and spend a lot of money on ebay to get the schwimmvagen -

The Schwim was not cheap. I was lucky to get mine from Shannon at the 05 Chicago Show for a decent price. They've all gotten a little expensive especially the MG 42 set.

I got all of the FJ sets including the Schwimmvagon when they first came out. I can't even imagine what the newer collector interested in the older pieces has to pay to get them. I don't think I could afford to get my collection at today's prices. I think I have spent as much in the last three years filling in gaps in my collection as I spent in the previous 10+ years building my collection.
