How do you display your collection? (1 Viewer)

Just looked over the pics. Sorry Chris, the guy with the short hair with the Army T-shirt. If that's you, its nice to put a face to the name.

Chris Curahee, are you that bald guy in Louis's symposium pics wearing the Army T-shirt?

GAAAHHH!!!!! ^&grin^&grin^&grin No dude, as you correctly noted in your following post, I had my Army T shirt on and I keep my hair in a regulation high and tight. Admittedly, the hairline has receeded some and it's getting gray but there is still PLENTY there!! %^V

I hope Wraith didn't see these posts- he'll skin me alive!!:tongue:

I just sent Terry (Phantom Warrior) two photos of my new display table, with a polite request that he post them on this thread.:smile2:

The table was purchased by my old law partner for his office from the Bombay Company years ago, and when he moved his office he asked if I wanted it, so I snapped it up.:wink2:

Louis' new display table.

Did it come with the models??? :)

Thanks for posting the photos, Terry!:smile2:

Oh, and if those tables came full of Heco Tinplate Vehicles and artillery, my purchase of them would have kept the Bombay Company from going bankrupt.

He did see them, and was soooooo very close to posting, but due to an unusually high moment of self control, managed to restrain myself.
'Regulation high and tight' is the excuse all bald people use and as for plenty being there, you've got less than 18months before it comes out in clumps.:rolleyes:

It's Mullet Time! ^&grin

Nice display piece Louis.
It could double up as a workbench in the annex. :)

Louis, all I can say is that is a gorgeous desk and it is filled with some outstanding Heco models. Those Armored cars are tops. You must live your life correctly, my friend. ^&grin:salute:: -- Al

Mine are in Glass cabinets for the more expensive stuff and things I try to keep dust free like the LAH parade figures. The rest is on shelves and book cases, my real WWII memorabilia is in the loft in cabinets along with most of the books I have. Probably similar to most collectors

Any change of some pictures mate ?

Al,

I am just a very lucky man, with a terrific wife and family and a lot of good friends. If it wasn't for an understanding wife and friends who always seem to be going out of their way to help me, I couldn't ever have accumulated or displayed my collection.:wink2:

Instant dioramas.

Because my shelves are small, I create a mini-diorama which may or may not have a landscape mat, buildings, vegetation, etcc. Whwn I want to create a full diorama on a table, I can put down a double sized landscape mat, add buildings and vegetation and then just take the entire shelf of AFVs and figures and add them to the full sized diorama. When I am finished with it, I can just put the AFVs and figures back on the shelf they came from.

Here are some of the small display shelves. Most of my WWII collection fits on the shelves I have so there is only a small amount of rotating AFVs in and out.

There are about 30 photos in the album and you can click on the above link and scroll through them all in the album. So far the album has photos of about 2/3 of the WWII shelves

My collection is all enclosed in curio cabinets and a 5 shelf acrylic display which holds
a lot of varied items. My opinion is if I can't display and enjoy it I won't but it ! :salute::
