I have been wondering how the collectors showcase kingbirds compares to K&C. I likebthe option of full side skirts, but I am a believer in that K&C king tiger henschell version is a masterpiece and passed on the collectors showcase. Any thoughts or comments?

Well I've had both company's king tigers & would say CS king tiger is better in both versions it come with metal parts & is a lot cheaper as well , thought the K&C King tiger turret did not look right as well

I like both but, sometimes I think it looks better when there are no skirts at all or just a few. The fact is though you can remove them from the CS easy enough to have the best of both variants. Both Konigstigers are really good in their own right not much wrong with either.

I have both versions as well. I used to have the KC Porsche turret KT's but have sold them since finding out how seriously undersized those were for 1/30 scale. The Henschel turret KC KT is a good model, as are the CS KT's. The CS KT's are just a tick bigger but not so obvious that it can be seen when displayed together. I think the detail is better on the CS versions but the I give KC the advantage where the missing skirts are concerned, as this battle-weary look is one I prefer. The one I like best is the CS Porsche turret with zimmerit. Just a mean looking tank. I give the CS Henshel KT with no zimmerit and the ambush color scheme first place for paint. I am happy with all 3 KT's I have and display them all together. -- Al

Agree. After checking out the K&C king tiger in the local shop, I decided to get the CS KT as it has more detail and much cheaper. It's more bang for the bucks with CS KT.

I didn't mention price in the post I made, but it is a huge factor. The CS KT is the much better deal for the cost involved. At $60 less, CS makes it a no brainer. -- Al

For me, the hull on the K&C konigstiger looks better and like the camo pattern better on this version. My own preference. Again, the downs for the K&C were the muzzle on the end of the gun being to small and, the lack of wheel detail that you get with the polystone molds compared to CS.

I agree. IMO, the K&C Henschell KT in ambush camo is the best of any KTs. It just looks right to me.

I am contemplating adding on and I do not have the cs tiger ii. I will take good look at it as I would like a zimmeret version.
