Well I do not know about the rest of you but my Christmas list just changed. The Tiger will be mine. Right after my love for Napoleonic’s is my love of the World War II Africa Campaign.

So let me ask the question. How many of you are going to purchase the Tiger and how long do you think it will be before it is sold out? I know in the past the limited editions of over a 1000 units have lasted quite a while. This time though I think the Tiger may go faster then many people think. Let me know your thoughts.

Happy collecting.

Hi old guard.Well i got my order for the Tiger in before Mike of K&C UK had read dispatches!!.Couldn't wait i'm afraid:D.As Andy and many others have said North Africa is growing in popularity, and i think it may sell quicker than the Winter Tiger. As James suggested today i really hope it has a special box,the box for the winter version is cool.It would be very interesting to see how many forum members go for the Tiger. As you said my xmas has just changed altogether,i'm not going to look at it i'm going to let my wife wrap it for me.Hows that for strength and fortitude!!!:)

well I'm not a desert collector but just had to get me that tiger, and now find myself looking at the rest of the range and slowly but surely feel the suck of the quicksand. Deutches Afrika Korp here I come

The Winter Tiger went very fast and that was a 999 issue. Since then, the collector base has grown and I think that increase will easily accomodate the additional 251. Tigers are popular so I think it will go quickly.

The other two SLs, the Panzer Meyer and Sherman have not gone that fast and I believe are still plentiful. On the aftermarket (ebay), they're actually selling below cost ($160).

I don't believe that will be the case here, not to mention there will be a certain amount of collectors buying duplicates and some dealers doing some hoarding in the hopes of a future payday.

The desert moves in mysterious ways, Glasshoppaah. Watch out cos it'll definitely suck you in - just look at me?

I wonder if the popularity of the Tiger and Stug will keep increasing the sales of the NA series and will it finally be even bigger than D Day and Bulge?

Ordered mine, but I don't think that they will sell out that quickly. I'd like to see the limited edition sets go back to less then a thousand pieces made.

I didn't realise there was still some Panzer Meyers for sale. However i'm sure the Tiger will be more popular than that and will go quickly. As Tony said K&C UK have already been swamped with calls.

Based upon the resale price, it doesn't look like this was terribly popular. I believe the Tiger will be another story and I'm sure there will be the usual discussion about the number issued, price gouging on ebay, etc. as we had with the Rommel one.

Well, all I can say is that previous to the release of the LRDG/SAS range I only had very slight interest in the NA series. Its now marginally my favourite range which I intend to add to at regular intervals.

Yes quite possibly there will be the same discussion.Funny i thought Meyer would have been a sell out,but as you say it wasn't as good as the Rommel set.Which will look cool next to the Tiger!:)

I think the quality of the Panzer Meyer SL is far superior to the Rommel Greif. The difference in popularity/availability being due in large part to the much smaller number of Greifs produced - I forget the exact number maybe 750 Greifs compared to the PM at something like 1200. That's almost twice as many PM's on the market.

Lets See I Already Have A Bunch Of Tigers So One More Won't Really Matter. I Will Have To Work Some Overtime At The Zoo To Pay For It.

The Tiger looks very well done but I think I will pass on this one as tempting as it might be. Myself, I like the period of the DAK pre El Alamein. It does look VERY good though! :)

Hi Doug-

Greifs were produced at 750 while PM were produced at 1 250.

Agree with you. PM was better than G.

Meilleures amitiés,
Pierre.

I disagree,i have both and very much prefer the Grief.Just looks a cooler vehicle to me:)

I agree Rob. The Greif was my first AK piece. I didn't think Panzer Meyer was nearly as cool.

Ah crap, come on you guys. They are both great models.:) I won't give up either one and I look forward to the DAK Tiger. However, I will not get the Heydrich SL.;)

Oh no i'm not trying to make an argument,i fully respect the other guys opinions,i just prefer it,maybe its just because its in the sand camo or i like the Rommel figure. Not sure really.
