Hi there,

According to O'Briens Guide from 1997:

The value of the set is higher if it is pre-war upwards of $ 300 dollars and probably higher. 1950's vintage would be slightly less $165 but with the prices that sets of Boxed Britians have been gaining in recent auctions on ebay and elsewhere my guess is they would run between 300 and 500 in the right auction. The best person to contact here would be Dick Buttons he has a very good collection of vintage sets that are boxed I suggest you pm him. I would also suggest posting a photo so we can see them.

All the best

Dave

i cannot find a date of production anywhere on these thing it driving me crazy.

Well they were made prior to WWII and again from 1946 to 1952. Usually you can tell by the box art. If you can post a photo of the box art and the figures I am sure we can work it out fairly fast.

Yo Trooper, Dave is right on the dates, this set was issued 1946-1952. This is not really the place to sell Old Britains sets, there not being that many collectors of Old Britains on this forum. Now with no disrespect what you say is good might not be to a collector IE: how good is the box, is the set still tied in, is it the right original tie card, are all the Lancers intact and the Officers Tin sword, and what is the paint lose. Now if its a good set and passes all these test, in today's market you could expect between $100/$200 dollars. Auctions being what they are you could do better on the day depending on how many bidders go for them. If you look in my albums you will see the set. If you want to send a photo email me at pokerrack@hotmail.com I will give you an assessment of how good the set is.
Bernard.
