LOL, more like an idea:D

I think Andy should make some blown up and shot up German vehicles that a collector could use in many dioramas or set ups, such as an Arnhem Bridge;):D

I think a destroyed Kublewagen or Hanomag would make a great piece, with some Germans trying to escape the flames, and bullet holes in the doors of the vehicles:eek::D

Maybe something along the lines of Britains' set 'Ambushed Steyr':D:eek:

Execpt it would have K&C's special touch;):D:cool:

I agree with our young Paratrooper here.I have often looked at that set and thought Andy could do that a whole lot better.:)

Rob

Not sure about a shot up Hanomag, but a Hanomag would be welcome. In addition, and something that might bridge the gap, would be a couple of German figures being shot, similar to the BoB mine laying set, but in Summer clothing. Gruesome maybe, but missing from the range at the moment.

How much better Rob? and find it very doubtful.......The Lt.

I second that,i like dead/wounded figures and think they add realism.I would really like Andy to revisit that D day casualties set,i missed out on that.

Rob

Deffo some wounded and dead Germans, I think there will be loads of wounded and dead British paras coming in the near future:D:D:eek::eek::confused::cool::eek::eek::D:D

I just think that K&C is easily superior in realism and could improve on the set.Their figures are just so much more life like than Britains. As are the vehicles. If you look at the new K&C WW1 Figs and the ones Britains made a while ago, well i really don't think Britains stand up?.Although i did like their VC MG set.:)

I second that:):), but I still like Britains, they have imaginative sets:D:D:D

K&C's figures are just really life like, and superbly detailled, and they make Arnhem British Paras, so as far as I'm concerned, they're the best:D;):D

Yes.I'm not saying Britains don't make some excellant sets, they do.I'm just saying IMHO they don't yet measure up to K&C.But who knows maybe they will just get better and better?.Congrats on your Arnhem sets Scot, can't wait to pick mine up two weeks today!:)

You're right, Britains WW1 line doesn't simply stand up to K&C's WW1 line - it towers over it. :D;) Sorry, but I think that's one series where Britains currently has the lead. That may change in the future, who knows.

I just think the faces on the K&C figures are so much more realistic, and having seen some of the Britains, well their just odd!.What one of the guys is doing waving his arm about i don't know, but it just looks disjointed to me.Still each to their own,one mans meat etc etc.:)

I agree about the faces - K&C's are definitely still the best. I especially didn't like the black dots (perfectly circular ones without eyebrows, I should add) that Britains was using there for a time, but apparently newer figures have better eyes with some white in them. Yet while I value faces on figures very highly, they are not the only factor that I consider when evaluating a manufacturer's figure line. The much more interesting variety of poses and apparently better research put Britain's WW1 ahead IMHO.

I really do like their First VC set.Funnily enough i think the faces are good in that set, somehow they've captured the tension and pain very well. And although at the moement i prefer K&C's figures,i would be happy for Britains to prove me wrong!.(WW1 was my first love in military History). As for K&C,with the greatest respect to Andy's Scottish troops i hope we may also get some ordinary English Tommies at some point.

Rob

Agreed RE: the Tommies - primarily because for my purposes they could double as Canadians. Perhaps a Ypres series is planned next year? At that battle Canadians were the first troops in the world to stand their ground against a gas attack, and without the benefit of masks. The call went out to p*ss in their handkerchiefs to use as masks, and each soldier either did so or choked to death on the spot moments later. Unbelieveable what those guys went through. Would make for some dramatic figures anyway.
