I Have joined the First Legion (4 Viewers)

Thanks Chris and Xavier! My goal is to collect on a slow and steady pace.

That is one of the benefits of FL. You don't have to worry about too many retirements. I have made a good dent in the 55th North Carolina and Dismounted Union but can take my time getting them all.

Brad

Welcome to the Glory that is First Legion {bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}} always good to see a collector joining the ever growing ranks of FL collectors worldwide . Regards Gebhard

Thanks Gebhard! Might be picking up another one this weekend ;) Brad

Their figures really do look outstanding in person. When I go to shows I really need to be careful not to walk out with FL figures from a particular subject that I do not collect. I have been so tempted in the past to purchase some NAPS or REN figures simply because they look amazing. Welcome to the addiction.

Slow and Steady wins the race:wink2:....You can't lose with First Legion{bravo}}....Usually there is ample time with First Legion to build a nice collection in whatever range you choose....This company does not play the "limited edition"/ "retired products" game to stimulate sales. FL retires products gradually much to the benefit of collectors....First Legion RULES{sm4}

I hear you. And I kind of view as being able to savior the figure instead of buying in bulk. Eventually I will buy the stug. They look great!

And agree about watching out for straying off course :) When I saw the Naps I thought they were incredible. Oh, well. Maybe when I am rich and famous :) Brad

Straying off is always a great temptation, especially when soooo many wonderful figures and lines are offered :wink2:
I decided to collect some First Legion figures as well and for me it is the Renaissance line.
Here is a pic with the first few samples.
Happy Collecting!
Konrad

I had been looking at this guy for such a long time. But finally couldn't resist.

welcome. So as a new Stalingrad collector, I am interested to hear if you have any wishes for future directions of the range. What does the new blood want? {sm4}

I agree with you guys about it being hard to stay on the range you collect most and for me it's the American Civil War (or the War of Northern Aggression if I stay true to my southern roots haha :p). I have so often wanted to pick up some of the WWII figures as that's my second area of most interest and that just may well have to happen before too much longer because they look AMAZING! I also agree with the idea of "being able to savior the figure" and not buy in bulk. First Legion is a new level of toy soldier collecting for me and I find myself more happy with having less figures that look phenomenal.

Always glad to have another WWII collector on board and don't worry Brad you can't go wrong ordering any of the WWII range for either sides, congrats on joining up with the band of WWII First Legion brethern...Sammy

Yes, very excited. As far as what I would like them to make. Honestly, for me I have lot to pick from. What I think FL does an excellent job of doing is showing "motion" in their figures. Hard to explain. But they just look so real. Honestly, some of the best poses are the guys loading the truck. Or the guy with the torch trying to warm up the engine. Very realistic. The one thing I could see me branching out into would be Civil War. Especially if they would come out with Pennsylvania Bucktails.

Oh, here is a vehicle that i might consider. Sd.Kfz. 251. One of the backbones of the German Army.

Anyway, it is very exciting for me. :)

I certainly agree with that. I just got another FL Napeonic French light infantry figure and it looks as though he was a real figure run through the old miniaturizer (Emperor, I shrunk the Voltigeur). I half expect him to start running across the table.

Wonderful additions you have there! I think it's safe to say you are now addicted... :p

I think you are right. And the amazing thing is you can see the bolt sticking out on the prone figure. Outstanding detail!
