With all the new releases that is Coming in the months ahead (and trust me, I would be buying quite a bit).
There has been one corner of my collection. that I have been wishing I could expand more, The Crusades. And with the addition of the MK025, This week. That fire got a little more hotter. But in all of my searches, of pretty much any manufacturer, that has pre-painted models (54mm), To add to my collection. even the Higher priced St. Petersburg. Theres, just not that much out there. There are a lot of centerpieces. but hardly any in the line soldiers.
a lot of Knights, But hardly any men to follow them, ( I bought two sets of the archer set, from last year), I got the K&C Crossbowmen too. But only Found one that had a spear on a ready stance (the aforementioned Mk025 set), not marching. I am trying to get pieces that will protect the castle, and with archers, I am there, but do really want some other soldiers that is in the ready stance with axes, swords, spears and shields.
I am hoping that Andy will make some, When he adds more into this collection. And a trebuchet too, would be spectacular.
Oh and anyone that might have information, on this, and again prepainted let me know please.

King & Country actually made quite a few men at arms with axes and swords as their first releases in the Crusades range. All of these are now discontinued, but you can still find some being sold by individulas in the Treefrog calssified's and on ebay. There are three men at arms climbing the scaling ladder. I bought three of that set and made conversions of some. I have also converted some other men at arms, in order to have more of them. The archers were just great and were the last men at arms released. Like you, I would also like to see more regular soldiers released. I'm hoping K&C will release some new Crusades figures soon. They discontinued a fairly large number of their old Crusades releases recently, which would indicate new releases soon. I'm personally hoping for Saracens on camels and a few new Crusaders. I love the Templar Knights on horseback. The Templar Knights and men at arms are my favorite Crusader releases.

Hi bearybones,

You'll be happy to hear of this news that Andy divulged to me at the Westcoaster....soon to be released will be a Saracen archer on a camel!!!!!:) That's certain to be one popular piece. He also described to me a forthcoming Crusader....a mounted knight with torn and tattered sleeves carrying the weapons of many slain adversaries! Just listening to Andy describe the figure arrangement w/ the weapon trophies and all and seeing that sparkle in his eye just really embodies why I love K & C so much. I can't wait to see these releases! :D

Joe,

Thanks for the tip on the upcoming Crusades figures. That Saracen archer on the camel sounds just great! I'll be waiting for the new releases.

George

Well, no luck this time around-but I'm looking forward to the figs that you guys mentioned that are in the pipeline. Besides, I still need to pick up a few more from the last wave that was released.

The camel piece will be one to have.

Bill, You can always try to let that budding painter in you loose! Lots of unpainted ones to be found out there.

That Saracen Archer mounted on a camel is indeed very exiting news. Thanks for bringing that up.

Would love to see more Crusader knights wearing full coverage helmets like MK054 - Sir Walter De La Mer.

How about those new Black Hawk ones if they are out yet.Anybody check into these yet?
Mark

The Black Hawk medieval figures have not been released yet. They will be primarily Templars and a few Saracens, with a Europpean peasant holding a torch thrown in. You can take a look at them on the Michigan Toy Soldier Company web site, under upcoming/future releases. Some of them look like they'll be pretty nice and the price seems comparable to King & Country. I wonder how they'll look beside my huge collection of K&C medieval figures and how they'll compare in size. There are a few that I'd probably like to have, if they turn out to be as nice as they appear to be in the pictures. Honestly though, I'm a little more excited about the upcoming Saracen archer on a camel and whatever else K&C might release along with that one. I hope we don't have to wait too long for the K&C releases.

Thanks!!, I have been looking or bidding on one (if it shows up on ebay) Since September, But no luck up until that auction. I am Quite happy:D, Now if Andy would just make a trebuchet. It would make You (I am assuming), me and a lot of collectors happy. It is really a collection that I really like to expand in.
