Back from the Kona coast of the Big Island. It was one of the best vacations in a long time! I will put an album on my profile page soon. The water is incredible. The fauna has to be seen to be believed! Hated to leave.:(

KV

Glad you had a good time! Now lets see some photos!:D

I am checking CNN now for missing persons from that area or any hospital reports of big bug bites to the neck...Only then will I know if you really had a good time...MUU HA HA..Michael

I heard on the radio today that there are some excellent vacation plans available for trips to Hawaii. Maybe I'll plan something in the fall. Stupid question but is there ever a bad time to visit Hawaii?

Welcome back Michael..............it hasn't been the same without you.:D

I will second that, I was thinking that very thing before I saw your post.:D

Nancy says our spring time can be cold there.

Fall is a good time to visit, not too hot, not much rain, hotel rates are cheaper. Winter is good if you want to see lots of humpback whales, but there is more rain. Summer might be hot for people from northern climates. Hawaii's geography is very diverse. Each Island is very different from another. On each island you can go from a hot white sand beach to a tropical rain forest to lush mountains. Hawaii is very expensive...hotels, groceries, restaurants. We have some of the best high end restaurants and very diverse food. No toy soldiers to speak of, but we have the battleship Missouri at Pearl Harbor.
