Australia, South Africa,India all look pretty strong to me.

Rob - Australia lost badly to Pakistan overnight. Our first loss in over 30 ICC World Cup games but we still made the quarter finals. Not sure who we now play.
 
Well on paper South Africa look strong. However we Proteas supporters have got used to the infamous choke so I am not holding my breath. This Australian team is not the same as the all conquering teams of the past although there are some good players there. India I think are under performers. I would think Pakistan are potential winners unless the bookmakers tell them to chuck it.

Don't write off your own boys Breslau. Much as the rest of us may hate it they can deliver and India have a tendency to crumble. I personally fully expect the Proteas to choke.
 
Of course the only thing wrong with that satement Wayne is:

Can't argue with that one,i like test cricket the best by far but now the true 8 best teams are in it should get interesting.

I hope your right - India will be under a lot of pressure in front of a large home crowd.
 
What a game today!. Wouldn't have bet against Australia but India are on fire right now, India v Pakistan is going to be a great semi final.

You were right about SA choking! It looked all over for NZ when you were 2 for 108 half way through your 50 overs.

So does anyone think Sri Lanka can beat India in the final?

Anything is possible, but I've got to go with India, I also think they deserve it as have played very well in this world cup.
