Howdy boardies. I've had this cool soldier for awhile and finally decided to find out more about it.
Anyone familiar with this one? I think he must be incomplete because it looks like the tree stumps next to him have indentations for attaching another piece.
Thanks for any help!

Hi Miroff! He stands about 4 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" long. The signature on the base looks to be Chas Stadden. Thanks for the help!

Our late pal Cardigan would have loved this challenge, I'm sure.

I'll check my Tradition catalogs and see if I can find it. I have never seen it, but I don't collect the larger figures. My guess from your description is that it's a 90mm-100mm figure.

Prost!
Brad

Thank you sir!
A really great community you folks have here. So many miniature works of art perusing the pages and so much obvious appreciation for the art & artists. First rate!

It is Stadden Model HP136 Soldat Premier Regiment de Cuirassier-1815 and Voltiguer 45 de Ligne-1815. The horse and mounted
Cuirassier is broken off. So all you have let is the Voltiguer. Both were also sold separately. It is in all the Stadden catalogs from the earliest.
It's 90mm.

Check the first three pictures on a Google search. For some reason the Treefrog archive doesn't work.

Watch on eBay; figures from this series come up from time to time. There are 4 or 5 up now, albeit of other figures than the cuirassier.

You might want to contact Tradition of London, too, and see if you could get the missing pieces. Here is the main URL to their website: http://traditionoflondonshop.com/

Prost!

Further to your request there is a complete model of this impressive viginette currently available on ebayUK with photographs.

Yeah, it has been on eBayUK for some time. Hasn't sold. Primarily because it is priced way too high.
Way too high. Also it is on a makeshift base, and painting not studio or well done. You really have to
watch Stadden on eBay lately.
