Hope everyone is doing well. Finally moved on to newer figures. Is this knight part of the Knights of Agincourt? I have figures 08411 and 08415, but can't find this jousting knight's number?
Also how do you tell the 2001 set from the from the sets that were issued around 2004-2006. Thanks in advance for all the help I have received from the forum.

Hi, Simos!

I've got Philip Bennett's book, "Plantagenet Knights-Collectors Guide to the Heraldic Miniatures of John Braithwaite", and I can't find this figure or this specific livery on any of the figures in the book. Comparing the style of the casting and painting, I'm not sure it's a Braithwaite figure. Most of the mounted figures are based, though not all. For example, his walking horses tend not to have bases. But for the horses in poses similar to yours, they're attached to bases.

Looking at the livery, there aren't any figures depicted in the book with a red double-headed eagle. Bertrand du Guesclin had a double-headed eagle, but it was black. And the rest of his armor was very distinctive, with a crested helmet.

This one may be from another maker. I'll have to check through my reference material and see if I can find it, or something similar that helps identify the maker, at least.

Prost!

It has the same warning label the others I have ID as Britains. It was in with 5 other 2001 Britain's knights. This is the only one I haven't been able to ID. I think this was part of a Tournament series Britains put out. I will just keeping looking and hopefully will find it.

He is figure 08417 Comte de Beaufort. Came out between 1999 and 2001 he is listed as part of the Tournament Knights. Was also issued as the same figure in 2004 to 2007 with the number 41090. So since it was the same figure your guess is as good as mine as yo when this particular figure was produced.

Hope this helps

Dave
