Hi guys,
I'm starting a new thread to give us a chance to politic for what we would like to see next in the form of one of those new lines coming or an addition to existing line . It's open to any period , and is also a chance for all of us to see some beautiful Military Paintings representing the periods we love . Regards Gebhard

Sounds like a fun idea, Gebhard,
here is a picture of the Last Stand at Gandamak, January 13, 1842.
It would be very, very tempting for me if FL should decide to release a Northwest Frontier line.

Ah! Carl Rochling! If I had my druthers, I'd prefer his depiction of Collis' Zouaves charging Jackson's line at Fredericksburg.

Although I can't collect the AWI line , I would love to see what Mike could do photographing something like this :wink2: And of course our friend Noah would love it . Some great ideas for future poses here . Regards Gebhard

IMO FdG and a line based on the Seven Years War is just begging for the First Legion royal treatment :salute:: That would be huge ^&cool Regards Gebhard

Would enjoy re-creating this photo Gebhard. The taking of the militia redoubt on Breed's Hill. Would need more action poses tough from FL . . . Here is a recreation of a period photograph I did a short time ago using Old Northwest Trading Company ACW figures . . .

Since I collect only the medieval Crusades era, other than the outstanding fighting figures of Crusaders that I've been happily collecting and the upcoming Mamluks, mounted figures and siege engines, I'd like to see some kind of support/supply wagon, or possibly an ox cart hauling supplies. Something other than fighting figures would add realism to the back lines of a Crusades diorama. So far, none of the companies offering 54mm Crusades lines have come out with anything like that. I have to add here that I've been extremely pleased with what has been and will be released so far in this line by First legion. My diorama is becoming Templar-intensive, so I hope they will continue to give us even more Templars in future releases.

Ah a fun variation on my Napoleonic scenes thread. OK for new lines, here one, offerred more for the period theme than the specifics of battle, pose or uniform but I do like Chums' work:

Here's another, again offerred for the theme rather than the specifics.

I think FL could do a bangup job on an Egyptian series. Perhaps they could start with this.

Some really interesting ideas going here. A few are not suprising, such as the suggestion for Romans or Seven Years War. However, the French Colonial Wars is certainly one I hadn't thought of! Still, it would be interesting to see what FL could do with any of these suggestions.

Gebhard, I appreciate the pic of Bunker Hill. And you are right, I do love it! Here is another I would like to see:

A release of early Continentals, in a mix of brown regimental coats and hunting shirts, is what I would really love to see for the AWI line. If I could only pick one thing for the AWI, it would be a release like this. It would be nice to get away from all the blue-faced-red coats that every other company does......

Of course, Bill's idea of the Swamp Fox is a good one too! Some mounted dragoons or militia would be welcome in my collection as well.

Noah

I would love to see what First Legion could do with a WWI Line

Gebhard - I like your suggestion for a series on the Seven Years War. Arguably the first truly global war? Not only would we get some Prussians (and much more) but also for the Battle of the Plains of Abraham at Quebec we might even get to see one figure depicting James Cook (along with General Wolfe).

Guys, as an FL 'Virgin' :wink2:, hope you don't mind me putting my tuppence worth in, but I'd love to see what FL could do with these elite troops

Thanks Breslau ,
I have seen a lot of interest in the French and Indian War ( Seven Years War in the States ) on the Forum . IMO First Legion could make a lot of collectors happy buy producing a line that covers this war . What other line would include Prussians and Indians , and a lot of Indians at that . It could be HUGE ..Even though my main interest lies with Old World I could not resist I few different Indians from different tribes . Love your screen name by the way :wink2: Regards Gebhard
