Hi everyone, I was wondering what everyone would do if they could pick an entirely new line or add to an existing line to K&C, what would it be.

I was thinking myself, if I could make such things happen:) that I would do either

1.) Polish Paratroopers for the Market Garden line, the 1st Polish Independant Parachute Brigade with a figure of Maj Gen Stanisław Sosabowski and various other poses

2.) or an entirely new line consisting of the "Winter War" Finns vs the Russians

any other ideas or thoughts, curious to see what everyone else thinks

I'd quiet like to see some hand to hand type sets. Britains, Trophy, Little Legion etc do quite a few of these type sets for their lines.

So for instance for the Arnhem line a two man set featuring a para and an SS soldier fighting and for the Crete line a fallschirmjager with a British/Commonwealth soldier.

The list could go on really and would bring some action to some of K&C's lines.

Hey Eazy, that's an excellent idea about the "hand to hand" series. I have some Trophy as well and those little scenes are quite dramatic

An extensive Sudan Wars range in matte (a reality one day hopefully :))

For me it is easy :

NAPOLEON

nothing but different figures of the great man - Wow what a range that would be :D ;) :)

Eazy, have you checked out the new Collector's Showcase Arnhem sets? I think they have just what you're talking about.

And I agree Alex, samurai from K&C would be most welcome!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

YANGTZE PATROL!!!!

or US bluejackets of Naval Landing Parties in the banana wars.

At one time I suggested a "Remagen Bridge" theme from WW2. Lots of opportunity for late US WW2 armor, plus some "weird stuff". M26 Pershing, M24 Chaffee plus late versions of the M5A1, and Shermans. The US CDL tank guarding the bridging site would be very unusual as would the LCVPs used to patroll the river and help bridging. Late war US engineers (with some of their special trucks), infantry and artillery. The Luftwaffe tried to respond to the Rhine crossing and the Remagen area saw the biggest concentration of US AAA in Europe - 90mm, 40mm, halftrack-mounted multiple guns, trailered .50 quads, etc.

For the Germans - Volkssturm, infantry, engineers and flak troops, as well as the Nazi frogmen sent to blow the bridge. An Arado 234 in the Warbirds would be appropriate (I believe that the Ludendorff Bridge was the target for the first jet bomber attack).

I'm sure whatever Andy adds to the line, he will bring his artist's eye to it and it will be interesting. Just as long as it's not more of that booorrriiinnggg Napoleonic stuff (cheap jab at Capitolron).

Good question John! I think the first Thirty years war era will be interesting with Landsknechts, musketeers, and ornamented cannons.

CUSTER

Really - I believe that THE WEST Series did not sell well due to the fact that the HORSE FLESH was not the best. Now K & C and some of the other manufactures are truly doing magnificent HORSES and it makes all the difference in the world. I still can't bring myself to buy Frontline Cavalry - not to say it is not great stuff - but because the HORSE FLESH is not what I would expect it to be. I once read a quote from a master sculptor who said "you must be intimately familiar with the horse to be able to sculpt the horse."

Victorian Wars- Sudan Wars 1884 w/ Gordon and 1898 Omdurman, Boer Wars, Northwest Frontier... in matte.

Ok maybe I am weird but my thoughts would be on support groups including seabees, Medical, mechanics, cooks, nurses Etc.

My thoughts are on the Mexican American War and the Irish patriots that helped the Mexicans in the war. I think that would be interesting. Also, I do not believe that anyone has done Submarines and the COld War/Crimson Tide/Hunt for Red October with Russian Sub Mariners and American Sub Mariners and British, and French, etc....I think that would be interesting to collect. Any feedback?

Wow! An interesting dilemma! After some thought, I would have to say absolutely nothing! I already have sensory overload from all of the amazing releases such that asking for something specific matching my toy soldier passions would be simply too much! However, it was fun to think up the possibilities!

Happy Collecting,

Hi CS I do like some of the poses from TCS Arnhem range. In fact i think the guy firing his sten is a much more action packed pose than many of those from K&C's Market Garden.
The only downside for me is that i really find the zombie faces off putting. If TCS could work on that then they may be on to a winner.
