If you could design or add to a K&C line, what would it be? (2 Viewers)

If i was choosing a completely new range i would go for either the Wild west or Victorian London .Or to add to an existing range i would go for some Creatian villagers attacking/kiling German FJ's.I also think a range of Britsh/Australian Jungle fighters would be cool.

Would be great to see more action poses of soldiers being shot , like in "Mine Laying Surprise". The only other set I can think of is "battlefield casualties ws30.
They really make for a dynamic diorama

If it was a new line , i,d probably do something along the lines of
fields of battle line, only covering earlier conflicts allowing it to move
around a little covering a few of the classic toy soldier sets without being restricted to one era or conflict ,i,e royal artillery mountain battery ,sudan war camel corps ,re make of the last stand of the sea fourths etc.

Adding to an existing line ww1 highlanders ,Aussie light horse, lawrence of arabia would be my picks.

a line of Mexican American War. Capt Robert E Lee, and other great generals of the ACW when they all fought on the same side.

Hi,
i agree with Redhugh and Ozdigger, British and Turkish troops would be a great addition to the WWI line.

For a new K&C line, my vote would be for Scottish Wars of Indepedance closely followed by Mongolian Empire.

I'd like to see someone do a series of figures for the Conquest of Mexico. Aztecs and Conquestadors - all very colorful and exotic. It could be rounded out with scenics much like K&C does with the Ancient Eygpt line.

Hi Dragoon,

You stole the words right out of my mouth! I would love to see and collect a line of Aztecs and Conquestadors. I enthusiastically agree with your suggestion!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Yangtze Patrol!

I would second that one. The Sand Pebbles is one of my all time favourite movies. And I really don't think it would have limited appeal either cos the figures could double as early Pacific War as well.
Would definitely have to include a Steve McQueen personality figure.

Cheers

Since the Pacific War doesn't do particularly well, I don't see this as something that would do that well.

:) I have been working on a" MOSQUE SAHARA", Style building making it out of Hardened Clay! Also,my 1/25th ScaleTamiya 'Metal Figures' is really looking GREAT, with my Personal Added Touch, to my DAK likings! Waiting for the MARDER III, and PAK 40 Team along with the DAK Paras, from NMA?

Hmmmm......dunno about that Brad.
The PW marines are a wee bit same-y IMO and they're really aimed at the later war island-hopping campaigns. A Yantze Patrol range or early PW range could have more diverse uniforms (and nationalities) and be used to depict action from, for example, Wake Island, Corredigor (spelling), Burma, Malaya, Java, China, etc.

Same-y isn't really the word I'm looking for. The poses are great, but the only item I have from the present PW range is the flag raising on Mt Surabatchi, and I only got it cos its so iconic.

Cheers

As i said before with all the bravery and pride attached to the US Marines i still find it incredible that they don't sell big time.

New Line: British colonial wars and conflicts in Africa, India and Australia etc.

Existing: I have to agree with Vandi and would luv to see an Australian Lighthorse set included in the 1st World War range - charging Turkish Cannons at Beersheba perhaps: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Beersheba

Dear OzDigger
We will be shortly posting the TAW Lighthorse by Fleurbaix.
Thanks Fr Greg

Aztecs and Conquistadores would be incredible! I picked up the Ron Barszo set a few years back, and I treasure it. That said, I found it so frustrating to even begin painting the figures that I quit after sullying a single Jaguar warrior.

There is no question that K&C would produce the finest possible figures. Don't stop at a few soldiers/warriors. It would be cool having a Spanish dog and Malinche. I don't know that I would want to see anything too gory, however.

Well... No company can do everything, and they do so well with what they've created already. But if Andy ever gets bored (which I doubt he would) he should consider it!
