This could be the finest armored vehicle in my collection. It is really spectacular.

I just GOT Mine today in the mail, tank is excellent. The figures , weak.
I think Figarti was on the right track for awhile with figures. I think the sculpting is shaky and painting too.

Others please chime in , it is me or does anyone else feel the same...

Might be the best AFV I've seen , other than the figures.

I tend to agree with you. just when you think Figarti has got the figures right, the next set arrives and the figures just are not up to par.
How many different sculpters do they have?
So far, other than K&C, the only other company that seems to be consistant with great figures everytime is Thomas Gunn.

Mine came yesterday...took me a little to figure the chain configuration out but I got it without looking it up on the PC. I'm most pleased by how well the pole structure goes together and how it moves. I also just love the man resting his foot on the bracketry. I also like the pull ribbon glued in where the figures go to help in removing them from the little cubby holes. On a scale of 1 to 10...she recieves a heavy 10!

Guys

Take a look at the new figures compared to the old.If you look at the desert Panzer IV for instance the figures are so bloated and chunky they look like they could not fit back inside the hatches. They also have that dark shading on their faces like greasy mechanics. The figures with the new Priest,Sherman hedgerow cutter,German 88 and ground Stuka are all in the new style.More slender realistic bodies, better sculpting on faces and brighter tones on the faces.

Maybe someone could get one of these new crew figures and an old figure, say from the German Winter Surprise set and do a side by side and post the photo.I would be surprised if most of you did not agree that they are better.Let's put it this way. They are alot closer to K&C style now.

RICK,IF YOU ARE OUT THERE PLEASE STICK WITH THIS NEW STYLE FIGURE.THEY ARE A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IMHO.SO MUCH SO THAT I JUST TURNED DOWN OTHER COMPANIES PRODUCTS TO BUY ONLY MY SECOND AND THIRD FIGARTI VEHICLES AND PLAN ON ADDING MORE AS WELL AS 4 FIGURE SETS, IF ALL FUTURE FIGURES WILL STAY WITH THIS LOOK.

In my opinion, Figarti's figures have steadily improved in sculpting and painting on average, but Figarti remains inconsistent on a figure to figure basis. The best of Figarti's efforts are properly proportioned, in realistic poses, and very well painted. However, in the same set with a figure you might rate a 9+ out of ten you might find a figure that is poorly proportioned or in a completely unrealistic pose.

It is this inconsistency within the same set that I find so annoying. I think they must use more than one sculptor, and mix there efforts together. If this is the case, Rick needs to figure out which of the sculptors is producing the best figures, and get rid of the rest. If they use one sculptor, than Rick (or someonse assigned to quality control) needs to check the masters on each figure before they go into production. Maybe this is overly simplistic, but just having someone try to assume the pose of the figure to see if is realistic (or even possible) could eliminate most of the problems.

Excellent comments and especially your suggestion on sculptors. I too have noticed inconsistencies from model to model. On a positive note, the 3 Figarti pieces I got at Christmas (the tropical prime mover, desert 75mm motor carriage and desert Sherman) all arrived with no shipping damage and no manufacturer's defect that I could see.

Wow, may have to stretch and get the bergepanzer while it's available. My first figarti set arrives early this week-the 150mm german arty set.
