I watched "A Bridge Too Far" last night - again - what a great movie. You really get the feel for all the different Commands during that Battle.

Amazing how long the British Paras were able to hold out "behind enemy lines" and fight SS Armor units. Truely great men.

Hey guys,

Just got this posted today. It is a first hand account of the fall of Heer. You might find it interesting. It came from a man named Willy Willems who was just 10 years old when my grandfather's unit was in his small village of Zichen. He sent me a diary of a individual who lived in Heer at the time of its capture from the Germans. It has been translated into English. Pretty cool read.
