noooooooooooo...

not real practical...

the hat...gloves and banners need to stay in the closet if they go on a mission...

Are they cutting back on the gee-gees too? I thought these used to be Cavalry? jb

JB, it's the rehearsal for the presentation of new standards. These lads will take the old standards from the Corporal Majors and then they will be carried through the Admiralty building(I carried one in 83) The navy don't like us riding through their nice clean offices!:) Seriously though I was impressed with the way every sailor in the place came out of the side rooms and stood too attention along the hall ways as we passed!

Martin

p.s. three squadron standards with the union wreath and the Royal standard with Her Majesty's arms, for each regiment

I s'pose the RN can't afford ships anymore either then. They now have "nice clean offices!"

How lovely! My office was the back seat of a Land Rover - or (sheer luxury), sometimes a tent. How the other half live - eh? :Djb

Seems like they are torn on whether or not to collect modern toy soldiers or stick with the classics.
