A question for the guys going to the show...

What is the best way to get images online in the quickest way?

If people would like, I can make a photo album (seperate from the forum). People could just swing by the Treefrog room, dump your images onto my laptop, and I could get them uploaded. Then, if people wanted to link to them and explain them on the forum, they could do that.

This would prevent folks from having to go back to their room at night and spend hours uploading...we could have it going all day long.

What do you think? If anyone's interested I'll work to get it set up.

What a great idea .. I hope TF members/visitors will take up your kind offer. It will be like "reporting live from Chicago " :smile2:

Pete,

Do you mean uploaded to the Forum?

What I had planned to do was take photos with my BB and then email them to Rob, who will post them.

Brad -

In some ways this would be like Photobucket...people will dump the images onto my laptop and we'll get them uploaded to a special area of our website (not the forum). People can then look at the raw images right away...and folks can link to the images on the forum (bringing them here) with explanations.

We're trying to save the 'uploading' step for people.

Pete,

Thanks. Since I have a BB (not bringing my camera -- that would mean less I could buy ^&grin), would I just email the shots to you or can you dump them from there as well.

Often phones have a way to connect to a computer via USB, meaning that they act like a flash drive. That could make things a lot faster than sending via e-mail. Bring your cord and we'll give it a whirl.

Will do, or otherwise that thing will run out power; it eats energy like it's going out of style!

Whats wrong with a digital camera with images saved on an SD card. Install the SD card into a portable lap top or tablet hooked up to the hotels internet ^&confuse

I'm not bringing my camera with me as I'm trying to conserve space which always becomes a problem :wink2:

The Black Berry actually takes half decent photos. Here's two photos I recently took.

Brad, Pete's idea is probably going to be quicker I think mate, plus I have to be away from home on thursday so there could be a delay:redface2:

I believe Andy is already there. Let's get him to make some shots! :wink2:

That's fine Rob. I will provide them to him.

Brad

Cheers Brad, turns out now that it will be Saturday and not Thursday pm I'll be away from home and that's even worse in show time terms!

Best

Rob
