Hi
I am looking for the imperial heritage series 1,has anyone come across this set at a toy soldier shop in the US,If so could you please let me know.

many thanks
regards Rob

It will be difficult to find this set now because I don't believe most dealers stocked it, but only special ordered it. All of our Heirloom sets are gone now. I tried to order more in last June but David Cowe of Imperial said he could no longer get the wood to make the boxes so he couldn't supply any more.

Hi Shannon
Thanks for the info,I was over in greytown a couple of months ago
and imperial still had one in their shop window but as they where already closed down their wasnt too much i could do to buy it .I had checked a
couple of websites in the states but a lot of them dont seem to be up to date with their current stock.I guess i,ll have to try e bay.
Regards Rob

I'd do one of two things at this point first try going to the shop and see if they have the set you want or call the owner and try that or I'd see if MKL Models has one. They had it listed last year but I dont know if the kept one in stock. Only problem is they are in the UK. Their web site is: www.theguardstoysoldiercentre.co.uk
Phone is 020 7976 0850 You may get lucky. I dont see them very often so good luck.

Dave

Hi Dave
Thanks for the link to the UK site ,I will give them a try.

regards Rob

Did you ever find the Heirloom set? If not, I saw one Saturday of set No. 1 Cameron Highlanders Marching in its original wooden box at The Old Toy Soldier Home in San Diego. Our group, the Southern California Toy Soldier Collectors Society, had gone down to that shop on a "field trip." The asking price was 995 USD. The original list was 645 USD.

Hi Mike
No I didnt ,thanks for the heads up .
I will fire of an E mail and see it if it still available,
Regards Rob

Hi Mike

I have contacted craig ,but i,m going to imperial this coming saturday
so i,m going to wait until after that before I take the plunge
[if it is still available]
in case their are any sets I would rather buy at the store.
Its probably a case of the quick and the dead but I,m realy
keen on completing the napoleonics line .

regards Rob

Hi Rob,

Say hello to David for me, if you would. Boy, I wish I could join you to see him and the shop. BTW, two heirloom sets sold for about $840 and $870 (USD) on eBay earlier this year. I don't remember if they had the boxes.

I will do Mike , I missed one on e bay, on a buy it now a couple of
months back for the mid $650 ish [and not suprisingly at that price it was gone before I could hit the buy it now button]
cheers Rob

Hey if you can remember to take pictures and pick up any free samples, remember who your friends are:D:D:D:D:D

Hi Rob,

If you get a chance on Saturday, could you ask David if he has any extra empty boxes I could buy? I am missing eight boxes: sets Nos. 2 (3), 18, 25b, 26 (2), and Heirloom No. 1. I know it is a long shot that he specifically has any of these, but I would even be happy with 4 regular boxes and 3 single mounted figure boxes. I was going to e-mail him, but you might be able to see in person since it is such a small shop. If you forget or don't get around to it, don't worry---I'll e-mail him. Thanks.

Hi Mike
I,ll do my best ,I know heirloom boxes are unavailable as
I asked about these a few weeks back. The original ones
where made of rimu [native timber]that is now very expensive
and later issue boxes had to be ordered in a minimum quantity
of 50.
I,ll let you know how i get on.
cheers Rob

AAAArrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....................................

Hi Guys,

Sorry about the camera, hope its the only thing to go down the tube! I hope you are able to get that set, they were the amazing sets, especially the action/square set. I saw two on ebay, recently that were both missing a figure and the boxes but still managed to reach close to $400 US so even in that condition they were fought over. But the guy that won them got two for the price of one.

I sent them an email a while ago but never heard back from them can you verify their email/web address and see if they have any cataloges available?

All the best

Dave

Hi Dave

I,ll double check email address and have a look for a catalogue,
[they are only a list so london bridge may be your best bet]
as for the camera its my fault for not checking when all went quite .

Hi Vandilay,

Thanks that would be great. I remember the lines from a John Wayne Cowboy flick when it comes to the kids... Its Quiet. Yeah Too Quiet, There must be Commanches about or my kids...;)

All the best

Dave
