Imperial Sets (2 Viewers)

Hi Shannon,

You are great! Thanks for posting the file photos. I mangaed to get two of the sets I am looking for so I am pretty happy about that. I think that since you have the photos of the sets in your computer you should give serious thought to putting together a book or a guide to the Imperial sets since there will be fewer and fewer sets availabel and having a collectors guide with photos and maybe what they retailed for when the company closed down would be really valuable for future collectors. Just a thought since we do banter back and forth on this forum about guides to this series or that series maybe a paperback guide or even just a cd rom guide to these really great soldiers. Just a thought.

Lucky me:) I have two of the sets the women and te mauri sets. Oddly DM i found them at the toy soldier place in D.C.!

Hi KV,

Do you live in DC or just near it? I also managed to find a couple of the sets i was looking for so I am happy, picked up NZ7 and 2 from an ebay auction and another one from a great guy in the mid west. What do you collect? I see you are a Scot so I was wondering do you focus on those units or do you go wherever and get the sets that you like at the momment. My collection tends to be mainly the British Raj with the Durbar being center but I have a bunch of other eras like the Napoleonic and a few WWII and some really neat Polish Winged Hussars from the guys in Russia that make really amazing figures. Lets hear about your collection.

No, I live in California. I have a friend who moved to Alexandria. Though, I love the Durbar lines I am a Napoleonic nut! I also not too surprisingly collect highland or kilted regiments. Imperial sets when I see stuff I like. "Around Town" sets with the animals are favorites. Just about anything that catches my eye. I'm fairly new to this stuff about the last two years . Pirates, Victorian, Zulu, WWI,ACW.

Kilted Vampire,

I am a little surprised that you are so new to this hobby and have such a wide and varried collection. I do a lot of wandering in my collecting also but I've been at it for a really long time. I am really excited that I managed to find 3 Imperial Sets for the right prices and I also found the Errol John set I was looking for and as an added bonus I picked up a Marlborough figure of Lord Kitchener. So in the past week I have made a sizebale dent in my want list.

Take it easy.
