Guys,

On my recent visit to Fla. I stopped in to see Tim Tyler at Troops of Time.He suggested I look at some of the new Figarti stuff.Long story short I walked out with the Priest and Sherman hedgecutter.I've always been impressed with the vehicles but what sold me was seeing the Priest set up with the figures, they are so much better.Rick, whatever you do stick with your new sculptor. How can I know which figure sets are in this new style. Are they the ones that are now $119/4 figures?$20 more is well worth it.The ground Stuka,88 and Bofors also have these improved figures so I have them on hold as my next purchases.

Please advise,is this the new standard figure going forward? If so I may be making many future Figarti purchases. Also the change to more logical item numbers (ETA-001,ETG-001,8TH-001,DAK-001) makes it easier for collector and probably dealer also. What is the difference in the ETA/G and RMA/G series?

Thanks for helping out a Figarti newbie who is thrilled with his 2 new vehicles and crews.

Then there is the 8TH-xxx 8th Army North Africa.
Gxxxx seem to cover German North Africa and other stuff.

Guys

Thanks for the answers.Thought the M was maybe for Mediterranean but R for Rome makes sense. So are these new slimmer figures with better facial painting going to be the norm.It apears that new set of 4 Germans in greatcoats is in the new style judging from the pictures posted on another thread.Do most agree with me or do some of you like the old, chunkier figures with all that dark shading on the face?

Cheers Armchair Warrior,

In short, I agree with you. I was looking at my Figarti sets which were released within the last 18 months or so and they all have this "new style" you speak of. However, they just keep getting better which is clearly evident with their recent releases. Enjoy the scale history!

Yup. I noticed it too. My wake-up was the Firefly add-on group of 3 Brit Infantry. Got me into WW2 non-para Brits...which up until then, was a theme that never caught my interest...even the K&C pieces

I do check out the Figarti figures and they have improved. The problem I still have with them is that they lack any uniqueness. By that I mean multiple figures in the same set all look alike to me. If you buy a piece that only has one figure, i.e. the desert Sherman, the figure that comes with it looks good. But the crew that comes with the ground stuka all look like twins. It is as if Octomom gave birth to them.
