This was my very first diorama , made with Deauville figures, 54mm, metal, painted with Humbrol in 1974
A that time, Deauville was one of the very first to make figures with diorama in mind .

Ice Giants by Grenadier, metal, scale 25mm ( even if as giants they are 60mm high )
Ground : Das Pronto ( kind of clay ) worked with a tooth brush ) and some bark for simulating rocks, painted with a mix of Humbrol and oils

These 2 sets are most interesting, as I have one as well in my collection , its Grenadier à Cheval de la Garde & Train D'artillerie c 1813

but mine was sold as castings from Errol John Studios and I bought it from Errol at the London Toy Soldier Show in 2008???

As far as I know that was the last time he was selling castings, they were only to be sold as painted figures, usually in gloss.

Does anyone know if he is still in business??
