Thanks for posting those photos Simon. So these were sold as four separate sets with figures originally?

I don't know the breakdown of these particular terrain pieces, but the playsets in general usually included a few buildings /structures / terrain pieces, a load of figures and accessories, somy guess is that all 4 were probably in one set, maybe 2?

Dave and Simon,
If memory serves me, there were two playsets called The Northwest Frontier or something similar. One set had one of the walls and buildings, the other had the other two. Both came with British and Afghan figures, the problem was the plastic was very, very fragile and the sets were scrapped shortly after that, so a very limited number of them ever saw the light of day...................

Thanks George and Simon. Those are some pretty nice looking plastic buildings. Shame they don't reappear as others have suggested perhaps in another medium than plastic.

Dave,
the buildings are actually made of a lightweight foam, it is the figures that were made of plastic, sorry for the confusion.......

Featured in the photo provided by the playsetaddict Joe Baker is the bridge currently being offered by The Hobby Bunker and I'm sure you'll agree the photo highlights it's potential uses..........The Lt.

That is certainly an appropriate style for the Ardennes. Here is a picture of the bridge at Stavelot.
