INDIAN MUTINY SERIES – THE CATALOGUE SETS

I have titled this thread “The Catalogue Sets” as there are several Highlander sets that were produced as Special Orders and did not appear in Trophy catalogues as official Indian Mutiny sets, Tommy Allison knows the whereabouts of several. These are all the Indian Mutiny sets Trophy produced and as I have just completed the series thanks to Nicholas (Scarlet Pimpernel) I thought I would group them all together to, hopefully, aid fellow collectors in tracking down their missing sets

Set# M1 - 91st REGIMENT OF FOOT

Martyn,

Thank you for cataloging the Indian Mutiny sets. Have you ever thought about cataloging your entire Trophy collection.

nice to see all those beautiful sets. i don't know how i would ever collect them all as they are hard to find. the only one i have is the sepoy mutineers which happens to be one of my favoritye trophy sets. when i bought it i thought it went with my northwest frontiers sets. great pics and thanks for posting them

Nice sets, of course :smile2:

I had three of these sets that I had picked up a few months ago but since it seemed that adding more or completing the range would be very difficult, not to mention expensive, I traded them away, one of which went to Martyn ^&cool

The Elephant drawn siege gun and the Elephant troop carrier were the first sets I found in the series, after finding them and getting the info on the other sets in the series from an old Trophy catalogue I had to track down the rest. :wink2:

Strangely enough the other 6 sets all came from the USA ^&grin

If you got any from Hans Hedrich's daughter, who goes by "Crazy Maggie" on ebay, they were originally from my collection, I had given them to Hans years ago.{sm4}

Martyn,
The nature keeps everything in balance : my last two IM sets to complete the range are coming from the UK {sm4}

No Indian Mutiny Louis....but one or two Boer War :wink2: ^&grin

The only Boer War I remember giving him was "The Head of the Column" - Highlanders marching with a little dog.

Hi Louis

If they were Gordon Highlanders - SAS2 THE COLUMN, with the little dog...... then it is being well looked after :wink2: ^&grin

Cheers

Martyn :)
