Right, just substitute covered wagons for canoes and you'll feel right at home...........:wink2:

the first thing I thought of was those electronic football games we all had as kids...
the field starts vibrating and players going everywhere...

LOL! I bought one in November. Got super detailed player figures from an online producer, painted up the Hurricanes....
and technology has done NOTHING to improve the game! They just bounce around crazy, the Quarterback passes 10 feet in a random direction, and the noise is still annoying.
You dream of this awesome game, and like when we were kids, its the revenge of reality!![]()

I loved those comic book ads. Revolutionary war, WWII, Knights, etc. I can visualize them right now. I would imagine having them and having big battles, but no money. Sometimes I got TS from cereal boxes. Fond memories.

I bought and still have a lot of those sets as they were right in my wheelhouse, ho/oo scale. The AWI one was great, came with cannons, cavalry, Indians, Hessians, it got loads of use as AWI figures, Napoleonics, etc, etc.
I bought the WWII one as well called "Tank Battle", it came with "exploding" tanks, dragons teeth, pillboxes, Americans and Germans that were Marx figures in ho/oo scale.
I also bought the Chickamauga set, came with ho/oo scale ACW figures that were again Marx figures scaled down to ho/oo scale.
And yes, I still have them all.
I also have a number of the Marx Miniature playsets; AWI, Blue and Grey, 20 Minutes to Berlin, Iwo Jima, knights castle, Charge of the light brigade and the cream of the crop, Border battle which was an Alamo playset.
They are great sets, glad I have them.
