Individual Plastic Figures (2 Viewers)

Ciao Gentlemen,
I thought I would post some of my individually painted plastic figures. I have no-one close by to share with, so you guys are it! ha I have enjoyed observing other's fine work and wish to share my new hobby.

British Victorian Era artillery (Sudan) from Armies in Plastic. Shaving the seams on these figures are a booger. They tend to fray. I like the rolled up sleeves.

Japanese soldier of the fabulous TSSD line. I like the brandished bayonet!

These are very nice Arditi.

I gave up on soft plastic figures because of moulding seams and bent rifles.

Thank you Hazebrouck and others! Your encouragement is motivating. For some reason (materials used?), AIP figures have seams that are difficult for me to remove. Still, a nice selection to choose from.

Just one of the challenges of using plastic I guess. Every choice has a tradeoff. I've found a good sharp hobby knife, a bit of care - and even heating of the blade to melt jagged edges can work wonders.

I'm not normally fond of AIP's sculpting style but you have done wonders with these guys and show they can be grat figures - if done properly. Hat's off to you!

TSSD standing western-theater officer. He appears to have a slick fabric shirt on. Hence the sheen on the garment. wink. I need to add a flat coat.

TSSD figures are very easy to prep and paint up nice.

I observed on the internet a fantastic grouping of TSSD ACW cavalry painted up as confederates. I want to do the same. I worked a few days on this one. I still need to add a clear protective coat. Completing the others will take some time.
