I'm hoping some of these photos might inspire John for possible future series. Greg.

I can see where you are coming from, but T Gunn and K & C released a Greek era range and they did not go as well as i thought they would.

I would also argue on if they are 'photographs' or not, sorry for being a geek, but they are pictures, whereas a photo would be of the actual event.

I think JJ Trojan War stuff looks good, but i am wondering where JJ is going, new range every few months.

I do think JJ are the best currently available figures in the World, closely followed by T Gunn. Britains are a busted flush, eratic releases and what they are releasing is 5 to10 years behind JJ and TG. I feel Britains are now just a Brand for the owners to sell other things under that brand. K & C are releasing less and less [few vehicles and no aircraft for ages], many repaints and re-releases, the only manufacturer who seems to be consolidating and not expanding ranges, while anything new is aimed at the US market [which is the biggest market so fare play], plus they are a bit expensive when compared with JJ and TG. First Legion are eratic in releases and too expensive for what they are, Warpark have shown that. Of the new crop of companies to the market i think only Warpark are really any good, the others seem to be a bit cheap looking and crass in painting and detail.

Looks like your a new member on the forum. You might want to be careful you don't brand yourself as something more than a geek. Take it easy and enjoy the photos I photographed off the net to place in my albums. I might use them as future reference for some of my dioramas. I will continue to buy anything to do with the Ancients as will others. Greg.

I love your photos Greg and hope it’s the sort of stuff JJ produces. I am sure he will do a great job.

The Advent Calendar sketches from John certainly suggest there is a lot more to come in the Greco/Persian world. For me Macedonian troops would be really welcome. Although I am passionate about most ancient period figures, particularly John's.

Nice photos/pictures. Massed armies of JJD ancient figures look so good but funding and space are always the issue when it comes to recreating some of these scenes.
