In my duties in the army reserve I attend many annual dinners of different units. So far this month I have conversed with a Juno Beach vet (QOR), a Cdn para also of DDay, and this weekend I have arrange a veteran of the fall Hong Kong as a guest speaker. Humbled in the presence of these men- and I'm an RSM!

sounds great. Nothing better than talking to those who served in the wars.

of course- rarely am I in company of such greatness! lol

Even talking to young Afghan vets in my own unit, I am greatful for these people volunteering to do the work of warriors. In this day and age the values are gettign harder to find.

Seriously,
I am sure that Canada is like the US. A smaller military with more frequent and intense missions. Todays soldiers have to be much more professional and focused. I am not sure that many citizens appreciate what is expected of these young men and women. We owe them a lot.

Roger that!
