Saw it to day, long film nearly 3 hours, not bad visually for the space travel scenes. Found the time travel aspects a little confusing, 1 hour on another planet = 7 years on earth. Worth a viewing, but for me no dvd. Robin.

I made it to Interstellar yesterday and glad I didn't miss it. Yep, it was a long one over 3 hours with the "Previews" and other stuff, but well worth the time. I found it a bit hard to heard sometimes due to the music or action occurring at the time. Great visual effects and "very accurate" from the techie point of view.

One bit of added information .... it wasn't actually time travel that was happening, it was TIME DILATION.^&confuse

Time dilation is the effect that is observed to the space-time continuum when there is a large gravity well or gravity source nearby. In the movie the was the black hole named "Gargantuan" which really exists.

This is not sci-fi stuff but Science Fact. For example the clocks on the satellites that orbit earth get out of sync with earth based clocks due to there distance away from earth.

Science stuff aside it was a fun movie.!

Gents,

First of all, THAT was a LONG movie. Don't get me wrong it was cool, but my *** was killing me by the end of the flick. There was ALOT to get through in that movie and I appreciate the writer and director making sure nothing was left unanswered. But, **** it was long. Should have gone to the Alamo Draft house to see it cause I was getting hungry during the movie too.

Super cool movie, super cool effects, music got a little monotonous, but it was all right

Watched it this evening and wife and I both enjoyed it.

Some good special effects combined with some human dramas.

Seems there was a secret role in this movie by a major leading actor. Won't say who it was but was surprised had not heard he was in the movie or seen him do any promo work or interviews for the movie.

Brett,

I too was a little surprised by ole whats his face, when he showed up on the screen. That movie was talent heavy! I am still digesting that flick as it was a little mind bending.

Ya, the movie drew us directly into a discussion about God and dimensions, being all places at one time or the science of God, a place where time is non linear, basically irrelevant, love a movie that challenges me on different levels
