This new P40 looks a terrific release. If I got me one of these I'd have a perfect scene for my Desert Tilly (even though its not an RAF Tilly) Desert fuel Bowser anyone?^&cool

Rob, this Desert P-40 has me sorely tempted. Great color combinations; would look fantastic paired with the Marseille 109; and it is, IMO, the best looking aircraft that came out of WW2. I have always loved the lines of the P-40 and could be tempted to buy 3 versions if they were available. Along with the desert version, I would love an AVG version and an early war (Pearl Harbor) USAAF version in just it's plain all green and gray paint. I hope Andy seriously considers doing at least the AVG version, and I wouldn't care which of the 3 squadrons he picked as long as it was one of the initial 100 batch of P-40B's that the Chinese had. The desert P-40 is a striking paint scheme with the shark mouth and that azureblue underside. Nice warbird. -- Al

I would say its the best aircraft they have released in terms of paint and overall effect

I agree that it perhaps the most attractive plane yet. Going to be hard not to pull the trigger on it.

I am also glad that K&C choose to homour Neville Duke. He was a unique man and, had a superb career sadly, he had to sell his war medals for a number of reasons including three burglaries and spiralling insurance cost thanks to our countries resident scumbags. Nontheless, check out his bio its remarkable.

Just read Mr Neville's bio Mitch, what service and what a disgrace the way he was robbed three times. He gave all that effort and herorism and now we have idiots and morons swinging on the Cenotaph, makes you wonder what it was all for. Been looking at it and I'm definitely getting this plane now.

If there were any justice in the world, people like Mr. Duke should never have had to worry about money ever again, let alone bloody insurance payments for their medals won defending the free world!

Every man and woman who helped defend Britain and her commonwealth during either of the world wars should have been comfortably looked after by the state for the remainder of their glorious days.

Today's rant is done, thank you!

Well Rob what can I say!!! I think you know I'm a very happy bunny right now ^&grin{sm3}^&grin{sm4}^&grin this is just what I've been begging Andy for since he released that 1st Hurricane a few years back! & I've got to say what an excellent release it is, I can't wait to get my hands on one!

We all know the only way you're going to be looked after by the state is to become a politician not a serviceman.:mad::mad:

I did think Desert Bowser myself when I was buying the Blue one, think that's what stopped me getting both back then as I knew I wouldn't have room for all 3 lol

Falling more and more under the spell of the desert P-40. It is a really sharp looking and accurate looking model. I was comparing the two desert P-40's that KC has now in their inventory, the uber-expensive wooden version, and this new, MUCH more affordable polystone one. To my eye, there is no contest. This new P-40 is a much nicer looking model. At a production number of only 250 made, I don't expect it will last long so I will have to make up my mind in a hurry.:wink2:^&grin -- Al

Al, I don't say it too often because I don't want to upset anyone who collects them, but I think some of these Polystone planes are indeed as good as the wooden if not better, but thats just my view...puts on tin helmet...goes down into shelter...shuts big metal door behind him:wink2:

I understand, Rob. My comments were not meant as a critique on the wooden models, simply that in this particular case that the new P-40 looks better to my eye. Heck, I think the wooden models are gorgeous and would love to own some. Don't stay in the bunker for long as they can get damp.^&grin -- Al
