Thanks Gebs, glad you like it. My basement is about 400 square feet, plenty of room for 20mm dioramas.

Antietam, Waterloo and Gettysburg are three battles I have numerous books on...........

Another great battle scene George, thanks for posting and keep em coming!

Tom

George, as usual just superb scenes , very effective indeed. Can I ask how many figures you have in this scale mate, you must have thousands! Thanks for posting as I really enjoy your scenes. {bravo}}

Thanks Rob, glad you can appreciate these scenes done in a smaller scale than the one you collect.

Between Napoleonics, American Civil War and WWII, I have about 15,000 figures............{eek3}

{eek3}{eek3} Wow, that's some collection my friend. I love this kind of size figure, as a kid (along with every other boy in my street) I collected those plastic Airfix figures and had hundreds of them (I guess many still reside in my mum and Dads back garden). But actually your dio's have over a period of time ignited one or two ideas in my brain for a future dio in 1/76 scale, your work is an inspiration mate.

Thanks Rob, I had raftloads of those Airfix figures as a kid (I've still got them actually, they were never tossed out), I transitioned from unpainted plastic to painted metal 20mm figures.............glad I could inspire you, looking forward to what you come up with.........

Thanks Tom, I have plans for many more dioramas...........

This is what we want to hear! {sm3}

Another great setup George and I like the green clad Berdan Sharp Shooters! :wink2: :salute::

Thanks Jeff, am planning out another one right now that features once again the Iron Brigade.

I was able to get those sharpshooters before the company that makes them went out of business, glad I did.......

Another stunning display George. That's a lot of patience to paint all those figs. That corn field is most impressive as well. Who makes the corn stalks? Don't believe I've seen them before now. Great display. BTW, I'm reading quite a bit about the Iron Bgde in David Martin's Gettysburg July 1. Previously read Pfanz's book same subject. Chris

Chris,
Thanks for taking the time to reply, nice to hear from you as well. My collection has been assembled for the past 20 or so years, have had a lot of fun putting it together for sure.

The corn stalks are actually pieces of an old Christmas wreath believe it or not, cut into even lengths, then painted yellow on the top and glued with a hot glue gun onto stands and then flocked with woodland scenics dirt.

I hope to see some displays from you shortly using the new First Legion Confederates and some of the new Britains items that have come out, always enjoy your work as well as Mikes and Bobs.

Will look into that book, thanks a lot, the Pfanz book, Nolan wrote a nice book about the history of the Iron Brigade and there is another good book on the first day of Gettysburg called Crisis at the Crossroads....................

Hi George,
That is very innovative process to create the corn crop, thanks for sharing the details, turned out great. UK Reb/Bob recommended Martin's book and it is quite good (get the 2nd edition) Have not read the Criss at Crossroads, maybe next, you can never have too many ACW or Gettysburg books. :smile2: Hope to have my own 2nd Wisc and 7th Tenn dio out in a couple of weeks. Waiting for delivery of second batch of FL Confed figs. Chris

Regarding ACW books; I like the way you think.........:wink2:.............looking forward to your next diorama, my customers love the new FL ACW figures, they go well sizewise with Britains, glad to see Britains cranking out some good ACW sets, their recent Union artillery piece being moved is a great item, they just notified me they are on the way, so it will be coming soon to a dealer near you....:smile2:
