Just got the new brochure from K&C, never seen this one before.
The uniform looks similar to Russian dragoons.
Is this a new cavalry or I’m wrong ???

The figure you see in the brochure is a Del Prado French Dragoon, which is made by K&C, for the Napoleonic Cavalry series.

There are about 120 figures in the series.

Hi Terry

There's a touch of that going round ... quite infectous really.

Do i see a new wagon in the background, drawn a spotted grey horse ?
New additions to the camp follower, maybe ?

Is there a new Nap brochure out ?

I just got Collector magazine No. 25 in the mail from Hong Kong. There was no Nap brochure with it. My latest Nap brochure is from 2008 so there could be a 2009 brochure.

As for the wagon and grey horse, if they were Del Prado, I wouldn't recognize them. But it does sound like you have Rob's disease too.:D

Here is a better picture, taken from TedToys website

His description is: #34 French Cavalry in 1807 - Trooper & Sapeur French Dragoons

So there.....

Personally I am not in favour of flyers that include items that are not K&C product (ie such as Del Prado and Aeroart) as it is confusing as in this case.

My question is: what is the Larry's ambulance shown in the upper right hand corner of your picture. The ambulance that the gray horse is pulling. Who made it?

Is it somethng future item, coming from K & C?

Wasn't that photo shown on the site earlier?

There was a recent thread on the same topic where Andy gave the full answer on both dragoon and canon on that picture. Please see:
http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17160&highlight=dragoon

You'r right, it was, but only the one mounted figure and the cannon were discussed and explained by Andy. The grey horse and cart was not mentioned so we still don't know who makes it.

To me it looks like a repaint of a Britains home farm figure. (that is what I meant when I said I had seen it somewhere before)

Sorry, I misspelled his name, it's Dr. Larrey. He was one of Napoleon doctors; he is given credit for developing the field ambulance, his Flying Ambulance.

Here is a picture of him, a drawing of his ambulance and an example made by another Toy Soldier manufacture, Alexanders Toy Soliders.

It just barely shows in the picture used in this thread; however the original picture is taken from one of K&C flyers. On it you can clearly see the ambulance. Andy had talked about doing a hospital scene once upon a time as I recall, just though it might be something to do with that. It has been quite a while back so Andy may have decide not to pursue the idea or I may just be dreaming.

Sorry, I don't have access to a scanner or digital camera or I would get the original complete picture. Maybe some else, who has the flyer, could help me with that?

I have marked the ambulance's location as it is shown in this tread's picture.

King's Man

Thank you for your very precise & informative clarification on the ambulance.

Well .. we can always hope that K&C will do such a field hospital, camp scene and something less orthodox. I hope the favourable response to the ACW cavalry " saddling up & casualty" pieces, provide some lead in this direction.

This is the image from the K&C site, its in the 'Life of Jesus' brochure,

You can also nice anothe Del Prado figure in the left hand corner, FRENCH CHASSEUR A CHEVAL walking his horse.

That horse and cart does look good.....
