Isn't there any hockey fans here? (2 Viewers)

REDWINGS!!!!! BACK to BACK! Wings and Bruins in the Stanley cup 4 games to 2. Just calling it now :D Sorry Warrior, Bruins are my second favorite hockey team and i hope they make it to the Stanley Cup but the New York yankees of hockey the Detroit Redwings will be in their way.

The Bruins are doing good this year I take it? I don't get many hockey games on cable here. Maybe a Kings game on FSW.

The Bruins have the best record in the Eastern Conference at the all star break which translates into a one and one playoff scenario I'm afraid, maybe this year will be different.........

George don't count your Bruins out just yet. With the All Star break maybe some of there injuries will be resolved.Chara just broke the 16 year old hardest slapshot record with 105.4 mph. Now that's a goalies nightmare seeing pucks like that in your dreams.
You know I'm a die hard Wings fan from way back in the days when they were in the bottom cellar and couldn't even make the play-offs.Fortunately and luckily I've been around for there latest run of Stanley Cup wins, even against another fav of mine the Hurricanes who managed to win the Holy Grail.
The Wings have one of the greatest scouting dept in the league, which has picked up players for little payout and after two years made them into some of the greatest players of the game. Not to say they won't lose in the first round either because the Wings always seem either live or die there to.

Chara and Savard have been two great free agent signings by the Bruins. There are many, many diehard Bruins fans in the Boston area and I grew up on the big bad Bruins of the early 1970's. At that time, hockey was king around here.

I am glad for the diehards that they are back on top again, they have been waiting 37 years for another Stanley Cup.......

I grew up on the Bruins mid to late 70s and remember the rivalry between them and Montreal. Whenever we played hockey, guys would pretend to be Orr, Oreilly, Mcnab, Gilbert, Cheevers(yes I liked playing goalie) or you could be the enemy..Larry Robinson, Guy Lefleur..etc.

What about Sanderson?

The Bruins of the 70's were absolutely loaded; they made it to the Stanley Cup finals in 70, 72, 74, 77 and 78. They won it in 70 and 72 and were also in the conference finals in 71 and 79, but lost to the Canadiens both times (once on a criminal too many men on the ice penalty, the brinx job revisited), and the Canadiens went on both times to win the Cup vs the Blackhawks in 71 and the Rangers in 79.

The Canadiens of the 70's were to the Bruins what the Yankees were to the Red Sox pre 2004.

"Sorry, can't remember them all. Now the '75 Red Sox lineup I can!:D"

Another Boston team that was loaded; Fisk catching, Cooper/Yaz at first, Doyle at second, Burleson at Short, Petrocelli at third, Yaz/Rice in left, Lynn in center, Evans in right.

Had Rice not broken his hand in September, they would beaten the Reds; they almost did without him, had a 3-0 lead in game 7 before the wheels fell off..........
