No Rob, He's an officer his strap is red with brass studs on it. Super good eye though. I'm sure there is something I missed somewhere on these guys though.
Thanks Obee. Your paint jobs are terrific. I'm really not very familiar with this time period and especially Hussars. What are the the small packs that are dangling off these fellas left sides? (The ones that are painted red on your figs)
great figures - pity that Italeri seems to have withdrawn them as they aint on general sale at the moment
The horses in particular are very detailed and excellent action/movement posture
That's one of the "prettiest" sets they make. I bought several and left them unpainted to "play" with. The original plastic color works as one of the French units.
Great photos and painting on the cavalry figures Captain. I still have a set to paint. Are your pics posted from photobucket? They are so clear and are larger to view. I lost my "notes" on using photobucket but will try again. Thanks for posting. john
Nice job Capt!
I converted a few of mine into Prussian Brandenburg Hussars. I still need to do more but I still have to many other projects to finish first.
Great job!
Great thread. Nice work Tim on your mounted figures. I am inspired to maybe paint today. Ice storm and snow, as long has I have power I should work on my hobby. J
When I painted my 4 pcs. I was just going by the box for color scheme etc. If and when I get around to the other 4 pcs. I think I'll do a little research and paint them as a different regiment.
