I know it's not much yet, but its a start for now. Just recived in today's FedEx delivery my Hougoumont North Gate, and the Hougoumont Well. Got the wall sets earlier this week. I have more of Britain's Defense of Hougoumont figure sets on their way. Will receive them early next week. I will be using a 4'x8' "play" table I made my grandkids several years ago (whicih they have outgrown and don't use anymore) as a base and display area. Will resurface with 1/4" plywood. One side will be used for my Hougoumont display, the other side for my 42nd Highlander square display. Like I said - It's a start.

And a good start it is Mike. Welcome to the dark side of Napoleonic collecting. Look forward to seeing your progress; it may motivate me to start putting some terrain features together to go with my lads.

Love it! I have both versions of the Britains Hougoumont building sets and they are still in their boxes. One day, I will be displaying one of them. Have most of the newer Britains British Coldstream guards and French attacking figures as well. Haven't picked up anything new recently in Britains. Thanks for the photos! Also, I still haven't gotten an answer on where Wellington took refuge during the French cavalry attack at Waterloo that I posted on another thread. It must have got lost in the middle of the thread... Does anyone know?

It looks like a good start to me, you will have a great place to put your figures when they arrive. Look forward to seeing the growing diorama.
Brian
