Its late in the afternoon in NZ. The temperature is up in the 30's in the Wairarapa valley. I have just been cleaning the back veranda with all the mess the birds are making steeling our grapes from our extensive vines. We are lucky and have around 20 oliver trees as well as lemon, peach, plum, apple and orange trees. The plums are about ready to pick so plum crumble for next weekend.

I am gonna have a cool bath, then an even cooler beer on my newly cleaned varanda. My wife Liz is cooking chicken and pasta to be had alfresco with a good bottle of NZ pinot noir. Then tomorrow we are up early to get the train into Wellington and spend another week in the capital living in our city centre apartment. We will consul ourselves as we are off to the theater mid week.

I leave you with a shot of two German WW2 Salamanca's. I recently bought the K&C version not realising (because my collection currently resides in a garage and not on display) that I already had a Thomas Gunn version. Clearly not a good purchase on my part.

Thanks for all the views, likes and comments. Its really appreciated. I will try to add a few more posts next weekend and maybe a few more Britain's as I have loads of their stuff but clearly not played with them much.

Best

Gary

You're clearly living the dream mate and good on you! Absolutely loving all your posts and stunning pic's of your extensive collection. Thanks heaps for taking the time to share all your stuff and the snaps of your life style block in Greytown are superb and the plum crumble sounds magic. Liz must be a whizz in the kitchen?

I've just dragged my back-side into the house almost on all fours, having spent the day building some new stairs for our front deck. The body is not what it used to be, however a couple of cold beers watching the sun go down and a quick squizzie at TF and 'bob's ya Nana' I'm feeling like a spring lamb again!^&grin

Many thanks and cheers for now.

Toddy
