Tonight I watched on the Smithsonian channel film from Iwo Jima that I had never seen before.
It was about USMC photographer Genoust. All my years watching WW2 footage it's rare that I see something new.
I still believe that there are tons of films of WW2 still out there that has not been released.

Gary: Tuesday's USA Today paper tells about the new WWll series starting. The History Channel is starting a new 10 hour, five part series with 3,000 hours of film found in private collections and museum archives-- restored and converted to high definition clarity. Follow the story of 12 Americans during the conflict. Numerous actors are doing the voice overs. The series looks like it might be interesting. Gary Sinise narrates the stories. It is called WWll in HD, premiering Sunday night at 9:00pm Eastern/Pacific time. John

John, I posted about that show a few days ago. However thanks for the info on following several guys, I did not know the premise or that there will be new film. Looking forward to it.

I have set my DVR to record them. It should be a very good series.
