I have been collecting this outstanding series since it started some while back. All the figures are superb, well sculpted, and colorful. The detail on these figures is as good as it gets and the action is the best on the market. The Jacobites are my favorite TS series going, by any manufacturer. I am still missing about half a dozen sets but I am working on getting them. -- Al

Rod...I collect these...I love this series...one of my favorites...I wish it would get more attention as I'm anxious to keep filling my shelf...JJ had a lot of plans for future releases...hopefully some will start coming out soon...

Mike .....A friend of mine who is of Scottish background got me looking at these..... as I like the Quebec series ......decided to take a closer look and absolutely like this series hope there will be more ......have already ordered more .....!!!!!!

While the Jacobites do look very interesting and good on the pictures already, they have to be seen eye to eye to really appreciate the superbly detailed painting on them.
Definetely JJ's finest figures.

Rod...some time ago...JJ had mentioned Dragoons...artillery pieces and crews...some Royal Ecossais...and Lowlanders...

he gave us some Lowlanders...which I would like some more of...perhaps some of these other additions will follow...

This is the line that finally dragged me into collecting metals. I just loved the colours in the kilts and the action! Indeed, as much as I loved my first 8 Highlanders, I think some of the more recent HL figures have been even better. The hand-to-hand sets have also been good. I won't be chasing cannons or mounted figures but I would like a few more 4th Foot with their bayonets pointing a bit more dangerously!

I have every figure, all displayed on the diorama John made for the release of the series at the OTSN a few years back.:wink2:

Oooooh...very nice...I had never seen this before...did JJ make the diorama...looks like a nice acquisition...thanks for posting...any more close-ups...

Louis was kind enough to share these photos...I like how JJ made the watery puddles...as on battle day...it was a marshy field they fought on...I think I read somewhere...that where the British formed lines for battle...they made the Highlanders charge through knee deep water...thus impeding their notoriously fierce "Highlander Charge"...

I have been able to complete the Jacobite line, the one's released to this point, anyway. I just got in 7 sets that I had been missing for months. Once again I just have to gush about how good these figures are. My particular favorites of this batch are the JR23, the Lowland Scots attacking with their muskets. Superb clothing detail and painting, as always. They don't wear the kilt and thus aren't as colorful as their kilted breathren, but they just look fantastic. I also really like JR19, Highlanders attacking with their muskets #2, in particular the figure who is discarding his empty musket and drawing his broadsword, ("Broadsword calling Danny Boy, Broadsword calling Danny Boy".:wink2: Sorry, couldn't resist:redface2:) as he charges. It is a classic figure. He represents many of the Scots who having fired their musket, tossed them away rather than reload, so as to close and fight with the cold steel of the sword. The Jacobite series is simply the best figure series on the market and I am hugely glad to have purchased them. -- Al

A favorite of mine as well. John has communicated to several collectors that more are on the way including mounted Dragoons and another British regiment.
