I am posting in this area since this is the last place we discussed his collection, but unfortunately Jacques Littlefield passed away. He had been battling cancer for some time. Reportedly he has made plans that the Military Vehicle Technology Foundation will continue and will manage his vehicle collection.

The military vehicle hobby has lost one of its giants and we have lost a fine man.

I am very sad to hear of his passing. I was once invited to tour his collection, and had arranged a trip to California, but the appointment was cancelled because of some scheduling conflict, and I couldn't go on the rescheduled date.

Dude that is a bummer. I count myself really lucky as I got the chance to view his military vehicle 3 times. Littlefield really was a true collector and he did what I'm sure most of the forum members would do if money was no object.

Take Care

I saw Jacques on the show "Tank Restoration", and he really was one of the giants of the restoration field. Many of my books are loaded with photo's from his one of a kind collection. Maybe, one day a group from this web-site can arrange for a visit to see his collection. That would be awesome.

Cheers!

It has been done. Check out Iron Mike's post from "Sierra" and or "McKenna77". His collection was spectacular. I trust his estate will continue the passion for the preservation of armoured history! I thank him a final time for his noble contribution!
