Just finished Paths of Glory 'The Life and Death of General James Wolfe' by Stephen Brumwell. It is an excellent writeup of Wolfe's early military career and has great detail on the Louisbourg and Quebec campaigns.

Hi Big M B,
thanks for this hint. I read the book "White Devil" by Stephen Brumwell and found it very interesting and well written. It is about Major Rogers and his Rangers and the raid against the Abenakis at St. Francis.
Will see if I find the one about General Wolfe.

I went to Louisbourg last summer and really enjoyed the Fort and the Village - it reminded me of Williamsburg.

A great history there of the French in Nova Scotia.
