I'm putting out my Jenkin's Christmas list here...

I want 4 additional members for British (BCH) artillery crew member...

1 officer
1 figure loading a round
1 figure using ram rod
1 figure looking through telescope

or anything you decide on John...

for so long...my 3 British guns have been so undermanned with a 5 man crew...I would really like at least 4 more crew members...

Yes John ... We have been good lads {sm4}

Mike's suggestion for new British artillery crew is most welcomed ... and perhaps a couple more artillery drivers too.

Merry Christmas.

(1) Very similar to what Mike is asking for. More gun crew members, but for the FIW era. Being a nice guy, Mike can have his first 2 releases first, to be followed within 3 months, by the FIW sets. Sailor figures would work for me and would be historically accurate for the FIW period. But as not to be pushy, I would be happy if Santa left FIW Royal Artillery.

(2) As the 35th regiment is being released, I am requesting that Santa provide a background piece for the marching sets as they enter Fort William Henry to take over from the 44th regiment in April 1757. We know the weight of the actual guns there, so:

To reach a value of 5,800 - 5,900 pounds, the 18-pound guns had to be 11-footers!!! So 4-inches plus on the barrel. The barrel would be iron, not brass. Siege gun carriage.

The 32-pounders were lighter and weighed in the range of 4,592 and 4,928 pounds. The book value for an iron barrel of a 7.5' long 32-pounder is 4,672 pounds (ship gun, recent design for 1755), so we can establish a length for the 32-pounders guns at 7.5 feet. The barrel of JJD short 24 weighed in at 2,046 pounds. So lets say, the barrel twice as "fat" as the 24-pounder. Again, siege gun carriage.

If the elves insist, I guess I could be happy with garrison gun carriages (ship gun carriages) ^&grin ^&grin ^&grin.

Aside from more gunners:
  • Guerilleras
  • Spanish civilians
  • Guerillero taking out a French picket wit a knife
  • British NCOs serving as Cacador officers/ncos. This was a program by the British government to train Portuguese troops. They could wear Cacador uniforms, with small "reminders" of their former posts, like a shako, Baker rifle, pack, or such.
  • More priests in a variety of poses.
  • Fight'n Nuns!!!!
  • More matrosses
  • Gunners building/repairing a redoubt or fortifications (shovel, facine knife)

Merry Christmas,
Sandor

Here's my wish list for the coming year: FIW casualties from all sides: Indian casualties, TIC casualties, wagoneer casualty or two, even a wagon horse fallen to its knees or laying on its side. Besides that, some additional FIW Indians in more casual poses like sitting & standing around a fire, and other Indian camp scenes including children.

You know the ol' song - on the Eleventh Day of Christmas we get Eleven Pipers Piping.

I'd be happy with just two. - One for the Black Watch at Ticonderoga and one for the Gordons in the Sudan. - Happy Christmas

I would like to see more WW1 in terms of aircraft, vehicles, AFV's, and figures to all of them. I would really like to see the Jacobite high command, like Prince Charles Stuart, Colonel John Sullivan, and Lord George Murray. Some more screaming highlanders and lowlanders would be welcome, as well. Merry Christmas to you, John. :smile2: -- Al

I'm so rotund! I can barely find the energy to write. My missus has excelled herself this year in helping to make us all festively plump.

To make my Christmas' come true, just two words.......

VIMY RIDGE

Don't worry about what anyone else is doing JJ. If you build it, we will come.
