I have for years thought this subject would make a superb sub-topic line for King and Country to do, and with the approaching 50th anniversary of the tragic events in Dallas, and subsequent state funeral there's little time to pull it off. I had emailed K&C a couple of years ago about this with no response. I must admit I didn't give it the old follow through and sales pitch but thought I would formally bring up the subject here for comment. I am a new register who followed the board on and off a few years ago so apologies if this is repetitive.

I do believe someone made a funereal set a while ago. I know Jim Hilestad has a display, so someone who is in more regular contact with him may want to shoot him an email. I agree- JFK's (or Lincoln's) funereal would make a good subject. Off topic, Napoléon's would also be good- it may have been the grandest ever in modern history.

Sandor is correct, though to clarify, the set we all discussed was actually a set of the funeral cortege, not the lying-in-state. If you do a search of the forum, you'll find a thread; I think it's with pictures. I had seen it on eBay, I think, and the other Brad, jazzeum, provided info on the maker of that particular set.

Wow! Thanks for the research - an excellent set but I'm sure way beyond my price point IF one could be found for sale.

Yes, my intent and interest would be for a set not of the funeral procession but of the laying in state at the White House and/or Capitol with am emphasis on the military color guard.

With the 50th anniversary of the assassination coming up this year it would be nice to see something related to the event. The Kennedy car would be a nice item. Yat Ming makes a version but it could be improved upon with figures etc.
