Has anyone else seen the three sets of JJ's figures on eBay at the moment, BM-02 (220115733145), BM-03 (220115736023) and BM-06 (220115738860).

The BM-02 is currently $114.50, the BM-03 is currently $102.50 and the BM-06 is currently $127.50. With a day and a half to go.

Is it me or does that look total out of place. The BM-06 you can still buy from at least 6 dealer in the USA for $92.00. I can understand the BM-02 & 03 as there are both long gone and I would think they will go for a bit more still, but the BM-06.

Great for the seller, but got me beat.

AM

If you look on Ebay - there has been a lot of crazy bidding all over the place recently. These buyers are not European either ! So who knows whats going on?

Good for Pierre that he is able to get money back from his earlier purchases - and its not that outragous his totals if you calculate the shipping charges that go with some of these items people pay.

That BM-02 and BM-03 are sure to go up - the serious bidders always hit late on those auctions. :)

Hi AM-

I am the seller.

The answer to your question is quite simple.

I am living in Montréal. Accordingly, the goods will be shipped from that location.

The two bidders on the BM-06 (and the others sets also) are living in Canada. Accordingly, the shipping fees will be lesser, there will be no customs fees and there will be no sale taxes as it is a private transaction.

Best regards,
Pierre.

Dear Pierre,

Please do not get me wrong, I am very happy for you. I had Kind of worked out that it was you selling.

But you can buy a BM-06 from Maitland Toy Shop in Ontario for $92.00 US. You do not have to pay any extra customs or sales tax on that?

I agree shipping will be reduced, but even to send a set of these to me in Australia is only $20. So a total including shipping for this set to me is $112 US and the current bid is already $127 US without shipping, say shipping is $5 US, thats $20 US on an item you can still buy in the stores.

As I said I am very happy for you, you also have the eBay costs to cover.

I think I will start putting some BM-06's up myself, but then I would have to sale some and I can not even think of that.

As Ron and I have said the BM-02 & 03 will only go up, but the BM-06 has me beat, they will in the future go through the roof as they are one of the best of John's sets.

Hope they all go to $150 or more.

Regards

Hi AM-

I did not get you wrong in any way. I was just answering to your concern :)

You will note that I indicated that those items are sold out as it is the information provided in the website of JJ Designs.

Also, the website of MTSS may be not to date. Sometimes an item is still list unless Ron (Daniels) is advised by the manufacturer that the said item is sold out which will happen when he will place a specific order. MTSS is a small room in a home in a small place in a fantastic town in the Georgian Bay.

I do not have any expectation on how much the JJ sets (or K&C) will sell as I listed them at the minimum price I wanted for them in the case that there would have had only one bid on each auction.

Amitiés,
Pierre.

Well,

Those eBay sales set the mark for for John's early sets.

I see you have jumped in there too Ron, great result. I hope the BM-03 goes as well.

I also see there are some FM-01 up for sale, one as a auction (currently $29) and 4 as buy now ($79 each). Shipping makes them a little high ($44 to Australia and $18 to USA). Maybe these are not to high, they will be the next to go into very short supply.

I will keep a list if anyone is interested in the future.

eBay Sales

1/6/2007 BM-02 $200.50
1/6/2007 BM-03 $168.06
1/6/2007 BM-06 $132.50
3/6/2007 BM-02 $280.00

AM

I felt the market was right and my need to reduce extras for storage space created this offering. Yes, I was very happy - but, you can see other are very happy to grab at them.

I realize I cant have too many multiples and keep up with everything that is coming out from JJ. If we didnt have so many new releases - I probally would have held on to those longer - but, its silly to keep stuff your not displaying and not buy the wonderful new stuff coming out.

Ron

Oh my GOSH !! There are John Jenkins Figures on Ebay

Quick - Lets all take a look

I wish I had those BM-01's - I certainly would like one more set.

On the BM-02's - I had too many on the shelf and need to readjust the defense budget commitments.

Ron,

Working on the current price of BM-02's I can let you have a BM-01 for $250 US plus shipping and insurance.

That price from Spain of $200 for a BM-01 is now sounding OK.

I also have four BM01's and nobody but me is going to have them, at least until I either die or the world ends suddenly.

Why don't you take Aussie up on his kind offer; 250.00 seems fair based on current market trends, plus you just made a killing on those BM 02's you didn't want anymore Ron..................

I opened my big mouth and put my foot in it.

I have no BM-01's for sale.

Sorry to the 5 member who wanted to buy one at $250, but I was joking with Ron.:(

I am the same as sceic2 you will have to pry them from my dieing hands.

Sorry for the stuff up. I will keep my big mouth shut from now on (not likely).:D

After meeting John Jenkins today at the London show and seeing his fantastic figures I just had to splash out and get some.
An Italian dealer had some of the old sets for sale. I got BM01 and BM 03 for £70 each. They also had BM02 for the same price but i had run out of money!

Great figures though. I am displaying them proudly.

Retired BM01, 02 and 03.

I picked mine up from Stefano at Saimex out of Italy. Great guy, still had them and he also had an old K&C Antietam of Stonewall Jackson, great deal all the way around here! (Even after currency conversion).

Congrats Guys - Great Finds.

I wish I could have been there to pick up that BM-01. Still looking for them in the US. :(
